They all have on and off days, and it's not trashing Percival, for example, to say that he should really have taken two tries against Souths and occasionally seems defensively suspect. Likewise Turner can have completely anonymous games where he certainly doesn't run his size. Jones is aggressive, and perhaps the most defensively sound in the middle, but on the edges can get found out positionally, and is not exactly a top-rank attacking threat with ball in hand.

More like months of watching him and getting frustrated.
Your correct in that he's ish the same defensively as Percy and swift (as in not good at it) but his attack is also woeful. Countless times last year and in preseason this i wanted to tear off my arm just to have something to beat him with for not backing himself on the outside. Why must he cut in every time???!!!!

Because at heart I think he is a centre.
That cut inside is what a centre will do to make space for their winger.
When he has played centre, he's been decent and can bust a few tackles and make half breaks for his winger to complete.
A club Legend and now coach and a GF and league winning coach have picked him in their squads, I think it tells us enough that just because he aint a saints junior does not mean he can't be of value to the squad.

Swift, whilst having a silly error a game, has had good start to the season. Dawson has struggled to impress in his game time last year, and whilst he offers good backup to injury, it should be limited to that. |

Saints trying way way too hard every time we touch the ball... Some decent scramble by us though so that's positive. Hope the calm down in the second half and grind it out!
Wilkin is having a shocker, 3 missed tackles a couple of passes to ground and a kick out on the full is not a good half!

The sooner Walsh back the better! Wilkin was awful. I worry he now thinks hes a 7 and can't see him doing the graft as a Backrow |

Concerningly Moors had his number all game, he missed at least 3 up against him, if not more. the Wilkin fans always said at least he'll give you 40 tackles a game, well not on that performance. Greenwood and in particular Vea grafted well tonight and certainly played their part. Can't see how Wilkin justifies a back row selection ...

He loves to kick that's for sure!
Vea worked his socks off as he did last week, he's just not getting that good short ball he likes so he can break the line.
I thought Percy was very good today and Lomax defence saved about 5 tries. |

I don't think Wilkin can play in the Backrow now, he's obvously wants to play as a ball player (and kicker) and I don't see how walsh, bruns and Wilkin fit in. If Wilkin goes into the pack we will be a forward down and add mose to that means we playing with two forwards short. |
