18821_1298880800.jpg
I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.
Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
Therefore ZERO.
Well I bet he's shaking in his boots, Internet Warrior
If your capable of reading i'd suggest you do so with more of his posts and maybe you'll understand his humour.
- ignoring the Goon I do sometimes wonder if coaches have considered 'taking out' Tomkins. Without him Wigan are simply no the same team. In times gone by he would have been targeted.

| I think the professional game has moved on from taking a player out, injury wise. It would be almost impossible to get away with and massively frowned upon so I doubt coaches would consider it.

Maybe , I'm not totally convinced but as you say especially in SL it's hard to hide from the camera's. I think you'd have to be more subtle than say a Jim Mills but it's possible

| I am genuinely astounded by the votes for Wigan here. Surely they're not actual Saints fans ? If so, they should be identified, tarred and feathered, and led through the streets of St Helens in shame while children pelt them with rotten fruit. Good God, why would anyone want Wigan to win this ? Or anything, come to think of it !

There is still some targeting that goes on. Just look at the complaint Royce put in with the RFL about all the high tackles Jammer gets.

Somebody should have told Hoffman that before the Good Friday game.

I work with a Saints Fan (a season ticket holder for over 10 years). She simply detests Leeds and especially Ryan Bailey.
To be honest, there's mutual appreciation.
If Leeds had been playing your lot on Saturday, I'd have wanted you to win too.
Maybe there are limits on some peoples depths of rivalry?

When Saints played Cats in the final , it was teeming with Sad Wigan fans in Cats gear. I don't like Leeds at all, I dislike Wigan more. People who remember before the 'glory years' of Wigan slogging part timers and gloating might have a different perspective but I grew up with it and probably because of that I would be very happy to see Wigan finish bottom of SL every year.
