Dwarfs, Gnomes, Halflings/GNOME2.JPG The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.:Dwarfs, Gnomes, Halflings/GNOME2.JPG |

It seems as though they are hairline fractures, Roby had a similar thing couple of seasons ago he just waitied for the swelling to go down and played on after a couple of weeks.
Now if its a football premiership player it would be a phantom of the opera mask for a few months.

Thats exactly the way I would go, with Wilkin replacing Flanners when Walshy comes on.

I agree with your logic that it would weaken other positions to play him elsewhere.
It's the least of evils though I can see him being awful under Brough's bombs. On the plus side if we get more injuries in the game he is a useful utility player.
In any event he will make the 17 for that reason.

| Today is going to be an interesting game (ps bring your jumper, it's drop 8 degrees in the last 2 days. Also a bit of rain predicted)
Personally I've not been to disappointed with the losses. Some of those could have been wins and as I said previously that was with all first choice backs injured or out of positon, bar swift.
So for me confidence is high, but will the losses have taken it out of the players in terms of mental attitude.
We are still 2nd in a tight league. For me a win regardless of class will do, get that winning mentality back and then the attack will start to come. A loss today may really effect the players heads with Leeds on the horizon next week.
As you can see in the rest of the league once you are in the mix with the rest a few wins and losses can mean the difference between bottom 3 and top 5.

ALL OF THEM could have been wins. We didn't throw the towel in once and despite being hopelessly outgunned we could still have pulled off three victories - just with the bounce of the ball.
Which is more than can be said of Millward's teams at the very least.

We were saying the very thing this morning in that we have not been dominated like some games last season.
Now we have this important win against the Giants then we have got to take the opportunity of having 3 home games.
This season superleague is probably the worse ever in quality especially with teams losing a couple of players with injuries.
Lots of 4 pointers coming up in the next 3 weeks for the top teams, hopefully we can create a gap beyond the top two.

| My god that was an awful game.
Niggly, permanently offside, players ruined it with lots of messing about at the play the ball from attackers and defenders. don't think I have seen so much play acting in all my life.
I said I'd take a scrappy win, well that was the definition of a scrappy game.

| Well I called for Lance at FB, but OMG we miss Wellens. Saddened can call him slow for 5 years straight, but even with a busted hip he can play fullback with his eyes shut.
The funny thing is Makinson would not have been much better today at FB. The defence was well marshalled which is a plus. No gaps.
Makinson for me had a bit of a mare.
Swift did not have a lot to do, but his run out of the in goal area was what we needed at the time. A great bit of olay running.
Pity we lost another back early on in Dawson, meant reorganising the team again. Dawson actually looked decent for the few minutes he was on, anything coming his way he wrapped up.
Ball control was poor and the messing about at the play the ball ruined any attack we had, but it seems that must be a tactic from Huddersfield to slow the game to their level.
Roby played well and was possibly my MOM
Mose had plus and bad points, for me he does no play as a team player. He did some great runs, but when someone busts him with a cheap hit, then he goes solo, looking for revenge. He should have took the chicken wing on the chin and not harbored it for a cheap shot when we did not need a penalty against us.
Walsh was limited but clinical.
Burns kicking was good and he competed for everything.
the rest of the pack looked like it was their 3rd game, lots of endevour, but at the end they looked shot and lacking in energy. They could do with some R&R.
All in all, nothing like the last 3 games, but a win we needed.

We need a fullback and sadly Imo it isn't wello. Even without the hip injury hes still not good enough now. As saddo said, he's basically a speed bump now in defence and basically dead with the ball in hand.
The Dawson injury is a worry now if percy ain't back soon. I wouldn't fancy seeing young ashworth up agsinst Watkins or joel moon next week. Surely Josh jones will be called up.
