They can't catch it now. Needless handling errors have escalated out of control.

Interesting to see how, when England finally shook off the mentality of having to plough the ball down the middle, after half time, they looked a totally different outfit and that wasn't purely down to the Aussies going to sleep.

Take a few risks, move the ball about and, suddenly, the Rugby League world becomes a significantly better place. Rocket science, it ain't!

Just to add to that, I watched the last 15 minutes of Wasps v Leeds Carnegie the other day. I must have seen 6 or 7 lineouts, 5 or 6 scrums (the majority of which collapsed), 3 or 4 clear knock ons not given and at most 15 passes. This in a 15 minutes when Wasps were desperately trying to score to win the game. Anyone that believes this is more entertaining than ANY Super League game is deluded i'm afraid.

Did anyone say Rugby Union was entertaining?

I'm not sure Rugby League, on the whole, is that boring. The NRL and the Co-operative Championship teams still want to entertain to a limited degree but Super League's a different matter.

What does "to a limited degree" mean?

Its like "to my maximum capacity" but a bit less, I think.

It means it's more entertaining than Super League but still nowhere near as entertaining as the Rugby League we once knew and loved.

They throw the ball about a bit more than in Super League and there is more an emphasis on trying to score through attacking rugby rather than by simply ploughing it down the middle and hoping the defence will buckle.

In simple terms, England played the game, in the first half against Australia ,exactly like a Super League game. The second half, we played it more like an NRL or Championship side would; i.e we tried to move it and we looked ten times more dangerous. Accepted, the Aussies had packed up for the day but the point remains.
