Don't necessarily agree on the marquee rule - they should relax all the rules re: third party sponsorship etc for a marquee player - if a club can drum up enough incremental finance on the back of a marketable player signing for their club, why shouldn't they?
I think structured correctly the marquee player rule could work, at the end of the day it's a relatively small (if limited to one player) exception on a cap that has declined in real terms for a while. |

Obviously I won't name the source, but it was in the same conversation regarding Cunningham getting the Saints job in July last year. He is very well connected in RL. |

Hang on! Severity of injury isn't always reflective of how bad a tackle is! Interesting if we're after Smith, I'd be stunned if that's true because I've heard the complete opposite. |

Is he as dominant as Greg Inglis, Burgess, Cameron Smith, Graham? If not then by definition his is a "second tier" or below player.
Understand that a tier two player is still an outstanding, world class individual. But the aforementioned (plus others) are freaks of nature. |

Tomkins would be a fantastic addition to our squad, he'd settle the FB debate once and for all and would run lines and offer a threat that Walsh and Burns only dream about Wello/Makinson etc making now.
Will he come to us though? Not a hope in hell.

I'm amazed how people wouldn't want Sam tomkins. Until he left for the NRL he was the best player playing in super league. He's a total threat everytime he gets the ball.
He Might not of set the world on fire in the NRL but he will rip it up in super league again.
