As far as I'm aware, the isnt much cap space to play with. We went for a winger and couldn't do the deal as we couldn't pay him enough due to the cap.

But you can gain cap space during the year surely. If you loan players out, you reduce predicted spending and bringing in partway through means the player costs less overall that year. So it gives us more wiggle room the later you leave it.

Not entirely true mate. Even if we had the space to pay what he wanted, I very much doubt we'd have paid that much for that player.

We have enough space to bring in an above average salary.

Cory Patterson is a decent signing for Salford, could probably have done a job for us.

Me too mate I agree, as long as they don't get stung with a few injuries. Their first 17 looks good but still lacking depth for me.

He's building tho, the squad getting bigger and better next year. I expect them to make about 5th this year and then build on that each year.
