In other news I've heard some good news and bad.

Walsh will sign for a 3rd year depending on how his injury pans out but Swift is looking for a move.

My guess is he's upset about being left out of the team when so many are saying it's unfairly so, we all say were quitting when were frustrated with work to our friends and what we'd like to do to our boss etc - doing so is an entirely other matter.

I'd take Hock. I've intensely disliked him over the years but he's exactly what our pack needs, anyone in the red vee gets my support, apart from if we signed Greg Johnson.

As for Swift, he's under contract until end of 2017 so we could command a decent fee if he does push for it. As it is, I'd like him to stay and he needs to play this week for me.

Didn't Koukash say he will be free to go as long as the commercials made sense (or words to that effect)? I would assume he'd want to cover his investment, but who knows.

I hate Hock with a passion. But it would be an answer by McManus to my criticism over the years that he's far too conservative and isn't actually even attempting to win trophies. Signing such a reckless, maverick, who is as likely to destroy the club than help win a trophy would be a sign that things are improving.
