| No way would I ever play wello 6 again. It just doesn't work as he can't play there.
I would pick Wilkin there this week alongside Walsh, I think wheeler time has come and gone and unless we are in dire need I wouldn't pick him at all.
We've got enough backrows to cover Wilkin in sia, flash, Manu, greenwood, Savelio, Thompson etc
My only concern with Wilkin at 6, I think he takes over Walsh a little and I feel Walsh likes to be the main go to man.

| As Brown stated; Wheeler is the best standoff at the club, so pick him there and let him prove it or not. He should be given at least three starts before any judgment is made.

Best stand off at the club that can't get a game when Walsh has been out injured.

How can he be up to it when Brown picks a cart horse such as Wilkin in preference? He's not been out because he's been injured he just hasn't been selected.

And he's behind Wilkin (shamefully) for a reason - for every blinder he has, he has a totally anonymous game.
We all remember the step and inside pass for the Roby try in the first game in the season, great bit of skill, but can you remember anything else that game?

Wheeler has had plenty of opprtunities this year to rise to the challenge mentally and physically he just hasn,t put a marker down for automatic selection, his career is over at Saints.

As I remember it he was dangerous throughout that game. He's not really had a good game since, though.

It is sad, I'm a positive thinker, I'm an optimistic fan, but my support of Wheeler is exhausted and rumours that his approach/lifestyle choices haven't helped him have even made me a little bitter about it.

| I'm not going to go into any rumours as 99% are made up.
But the stats earlier in the year were something like 58 games in 5 years. Yes he gets bumped about, but that's because there is competition for that spot as there is no clear cut favourite. Or there was no clear cut favourite. But Lance has visiably upped his game.
You can see him trying stuff and whilst it may not always come off, that trying and being involved in the game, puts him ahead of the occasional bit of brilliance once every 5 or 6 games.
Also Lance has seemed up until this point to be a bit more robust.
I would still say that Wheeler can spot a gap or make a play better than Lance , but the lack of consistency and robustness makes picking him more of a gamble than a more steady player.

| Lance is just out and out better than Wheeler. I've never seen anything in Wheeler that would suggest he's got a future in the game, let alone at Saints. He's one of those kids with a big reputation who has just simply failed to live upto the billing.
