| Seems alright to me. I'm 37 minutes into Fridays game and he's getting stuck into the Wigan pack. He's also had wraps from Clarke for his impact and Carney for his defensive effort.

[iRICHARD Beaumont will join Saints from Hull KR at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old prop forward has agreed a two-year contract with the club.
A scholar with the Robins, he progressed through their system to make his Super League debut in back in 2011.
He's strong, powerful, tips the scales at 100kg and has a great deal of potential to go far in the game.
Club Chairman Eamonn McManus said: "We're delighted to secure Richard's signing. He will be a welcome addition to our forward line that has not only gained more experience during the course of 2013 but has been bolstered ahead of 2014.
"We're sure that under the tutelage of Nathan Brown has his coaching staff Richard will do well for the club and we are looking forward to having him on board."
Saints Head Coach Nathan Brown added: "Richard showed a lot of potential coming through the system at Hull KR and will be a real asset to us next season.
"He possesses a lot of size and will bring some real go forward to our pack. At 25 he is still developing too and we are looking forward to seeing that at Langtree Park."[/i
Jury's out for me , hope he's over his injury problems

Thats a bonus , his age doesnt worry as much as his injury record. He could turn out to be a blinder but one thing is certain , he will be better than Perry and I imagine alot cheaper

| That's the point is'nt it. Look how we did last year and this year. Around 4th or 5th.
All our signings since Brown has come have improved on the players who have left. (for me with the exception of Howarth, all though I accept this is becoming a minority view).
A halfback for no halfback
A big impact prop, for an impact prop who is on the way to retirement.
A young but injury prone prop, for an old injury prone prop.

For me the real push now has to be to get a good 6 onboard. Wheeler simply cannot be relied on and unless things change GOB will be back with Dire come the end of the season.
Minority view or not we need some cover for Roby too - Hopefully somebody will step up from the juniors but if not we should be looking at the lower divisions as Howarth is just a short term sticky plaster

Of course we need cover for robes, but howarth simply is not the answer to that, he's not even SL standard IMO

If Salford get Chase, looking at a couple of other threads, I'd make a move for Snyed(sp?).
Assuming Salford go with Chase and Fages in the halves, he (and Salford) may be open to a move. Rumour has it that Salford wanted to offer him as a part ex for Chase, but he didn't want a move to Cas. I'm sure he could be persuaded over here though.
A player I really like the look of who can cover both 6 and 7.
