Gaskell to 6, Hohaia to 9. It'll be interesting to see what Gaskell can do with an experienced player in a bit of form alongside him rather than an inexperienced player that was stinking the place out and with the extra space that Lomax at full back gives everyone else.

Why not play speakman at hooker?

Gaskell isn't injured and nor is Hohaia (that's how you spell his name by the way). Yates hasn't played in the first team before, except in a friendly, so he is irrelevant.

Only Roby is injured, which is very unfortunate but that doesn't give us an excuse to go daft and start sticking kids in all over the place on debuts.

I suspect Brown is seeing Salford as an easy beat and a chance to rest some of his players in time for Wigan (Roby excepted, obviously, because he is actually injured).

Maybe he, too, is 'injured'.
