Simply, it does not matter about whether they are overseas or not. If they are from Crusaders they are not counted on any quota for length of contract with the new club.

That to me is a ridiculous ruling. I could understand maybe a one year dispensation or even for the length of their exiting contract , but for the length of the new contract is a joke.

I noticed that you did not put that you were surprised.


This is what happens when some clubs have a special dispensation to sign as many overseas as they like, then said club folds.

If they were playing under the same rules as every other club the yard sale would not be required, players would just be picked up in the same way as used to happen when we had P&R.

I wouldn't be shocked if saints now turn their attention away from the player I originally said we was after.
