| Quote Smurf="Smurf"You are relating a child throwing paint in a reception class to whether a rugby player has the ability to make it as a top player (indeed, better than some of the best players in the country at present), or in your example that it relates to their genetic potential as a cricketer. That is stretching the bounds of logic to its very limits.'"

I was giving an example of natural talent.

What?
Quote SaintsFan="SaintsFan"He not only lobbed the ball, but did it with absolute confidence, incredible accuracy and exactly the power required. I tested him by asking him to put a splat on the halfway fold. He did so perfectly. This little lad was 4 years old. He had fantastic hand-eye coordination and I fed this back to his teacher. He had a natural gift and could go on to make it in a sport involving the skills he had to offer - cricket, for example'"

You related a four year old child throwing paint to whether he can 'go on to make it' in a sport. I read that as that is what was written.
Are all 'teachers' so condescending, by the way?

You haven't even understood the bits you've put in bold! I so clearly mentioned natural talent. Do you know what that is?

They are when dealing with people who are being silly, yes.

| Ellery Hanleys son scored four tries for Shevvy Sharks last weekend.
The OP should know that a player can not sign for a club properly until he is 16 years of age. It will be 1st July before the clubs can officially sign the next batch of academy payers.
Certain players from clubs U16 scholarship will be on the move shortly to other clubs.

| At the final I didn't think the lad you're on about stood out. I thought the Clock Face number 3 stood out, I think his name is Jack. Also the 7 from Haresfinch who I know, named Josh. He played after breaking something in his leg a few weeks earlier. Both impressed me alot.

| The OP must be a troll.
Must say he is a fantastic talent, him and the haresfinch scrum half will be Saibts 6 and 7 for a number of years. Clock face and Haresfinch finished 1 and 2 in the premier league so both Saints teams have plenty of talent.
Saints already think very highly of him and he does ball boy for Saints and reserves. He reminds me Tomkins in a way, skinny but very fast and scored a try by chiping it over the top, catching it on the full then kicking it over the fullback to score. It was pretty special.
As for Rogues yes the 1st of July is the deadline but we all know it doesent quite work like that. Savelio, Fozard, Thompson, Galbraith have all signed for Saints. The only player in doubt was Luke Thompson who got a very good offer from Wigan and would of gone had it not been for Saints Australian tour in October. Ben Parry a massive Wigan fan and England U16 international also signed really good proffesional terms.

I wouldn't say he was the best but he was impressive, apart from his hairstyle.
The best is at Wigan.
