If you lot had the oppurtunity to have Matty Smith back, what would your thoughts be going forward? I think he has a smarter rugby brain than Kyle to be honest. Eastmond is the type to create havoc running the ball and a couple of years ago I thought he may become a world class centre.
Having said that, I dont watch the lad every week!

Nay, nay and thrice nay.
Had a good game in the game against Wire, then did nothing in the play off game against Hudds and even less in the final. He now cannot hold down the 7 shirt at Salford, instead playing at 9.
Is a 7 that isn't good enough to be 7 for a fairly poor Salford team good enough to get the 7 shirt in a Saints team expected to be challenging for trophies? Not for me. |

Maybe Saints will come to a deal with Bath RU.
Bath won't want him now as their season has only a few weeks to go. They will be back in pre season training I'd imagine around end of June/begining of July.
Perhaps Saints could do a deal with Bath to secure a release for Eastmond that will enable him start pre season in Union. That way Bath pick up his salary from the pre season date and for Saints he's gone and no longer costing them anything.
Prolonging this to the end of the Super League season and his current Saints contract would be torture for the club, fans and for the lad himself.
Better that all three parties come to an amicable agreement.

IMO this decision is either:
a) He's genuinely done something that could be considered 'gross misconduct'
b) We've found a replacement and want Kyle off the salary cap to accommodate him |
