critising wilkin is very very harsh, yes it was an error, but as a back rower, only just back from a longterm injury, hes put his hand up to play stand off in the biggest match of our season so far with absolutely no practice before the game. Anyone who's played this game knows thats a massive ask for any player

Come on. wilkin didn't have a good game oveall and was a pretty poor example of a hb.

IMO Lack of natural half backs cost us the game.

im not saying he's a good hb, but my point is neither is he! He stood in when noone else was availiable, if we'd put flannery or clough there would we be slating them?
we lost because we had BOTH halfbacks (and their reserves) out of the squad

Can,t blame Wilkin even though the "bad option kick" was one of the many turning points of the game. To be honest there was always going to be a comeback from Leeds, we just didn,t have the creativity, and Leeds just did enough to open up the game instead of playing to Saints strengths in the forwards.

Biggest worry if we lose Eastmond and Pryce for the season, positives ...........Foster is looking a promising player now.

How anyone can defend wilkin for that kick is a joke, he was poor again. That was our chance to snatch the game.

Also, that dropped ball from Leeds kick off by wilkin cost us a try.

Well just pass it then on your own 10metre line and lose the game, you had to try somethinnn, big up and under or anythin give yourselves a chance instead you just get caught in possession. oh well another trophyless season for Stains

It's Wilkins fault he kicked on 3rd tackle with 5 mins to go, and also his fault he dropped the ball in our first set in the 2nd half because he was looking who was coming.

Wilkin ain't big enough or strong enough to play in the pack and to slow to play in backs, he does run good lines tho



He does get thru some hard work in defence but IMO is behind soliloa, flannery and clough in the backrow.

If magennis can get some fitness then he will also go ahead of jon "big time Charlie" wilkin.

what about danny's try which was forward have not mentioned that ever

well let's hope he doesnt put his hand up again....he looked totaly disintrested throughout the game...dropped the ball from a perfect pass...did a nothing kick on the 2cnd or 3rd tackle in front of the leeds line...and they call wello for being slow..but wilkin makes him look like linford christie...time for him to join longy at hull now and take gardner with him too..the only winger i know that never makes 1 run.
