Quote Saddened!="Saddened!"That's my only concern. What are the surrounding facilities going to be like. Whats the parking going to be like is the main one, visiting from Warrington on a match day, I wouldn't like to think about an hour wait to get a space, then a two hour wait to get out, which happens if you park at some clubs who rent their stadia.
Another thing is eating. Granted KR isn't like the Trafford Centre food hall, but it's got a chippy, butty shop and a Morrisons that isn't packed because it's match day. Where will one eat? Will the stadium have mass queueing for an overpriced drink and ridiculously poor food or are they going to put some effort into that?
Exciting times ahead...'"
As has been stated there are ample refreshment stands within the main concourse of the ground itself. Add to this the dock off Tesco next door, McDonalds, Subway, Burger King and KFC on nearby retail parks and you should be well catered for fatty
The catering contract can be renegotiated with a new supplier as the previous ridiculous contract will become null and void upon leaving KR. I imagine those in charge will be able to negotiate a much better contract with *fingers crossed* much better quality of produce than the idiot that arranged the last one.
Parking wise there are two major retail parks either side of the stadium, it looks like the one with Halfords on are already planning on making it difficult to park there for free. And I imagine the Ravenhead one (with B&Q) may be subject to more patrolling especially on early kick off times but as there are already tons of unused spaces near I can't see why people wouldn't be allowed to park there especially as most shops close at the latest 8pm.
Failing that there is plenty of parking in the town centre accessible via the new bridge, and given the new grounds proximity to the train and bus stations it should be a lot easier for people to take advantage of public transport, a major reason why many fans found it difficult to get to KR every few weeks.
In terms of parking at the ground I believe there will be dedicated parking for Saints onsite but I'd imagine this will be limited and more for staff etc. I overheard someone asking TC about parking on the Tesco car park on match days, he said you will be able to park there with a pass, I imagine you'd have to pay for this though.
