Coach isnt the problem. Saints have to come to conclusion that other teams may be better. Cunningham is old, gidley, gardner,price arent as fast as they used to be. Others will come through but it may be that time of transition with Saints. |

Players don't lose ability overnight. Since Potter arrived most of the team have gone backwards. |

Potter has turned us from "The Entertainers" to a team that happily trundles the ball forward and then makes a hash of the last tackle. Our pack isn't big enough to burst up the middle, yet up the middle we go. The Saints of old would through the ball around and entertain the crowd, but Potter has us playing a boring, ineffective brand of football. His tactics are poor and he capped it off by putting Roby on the wing. Something has to change ! Now !!!

Our recruitment has been poor for years. The players aren't that massive a problem. I think our lack of pace would keep us trophyless, but we have a decent roster. When you combine not signing players to replace to those leaving with a coach devoid of ideas and totally lacking the ability to motivate the players its not a great combination. |

So who do you think you should have signed? You always put a well structured post together, and I am looking forward to your answer. Based on the SC and what you have/had available to spend, there are not many players you could have been in the market for. Didnt you throw most of the money saved at the young players coming through?? something all teams do. I honestly think your recruitment has not been that bad, Fozzy was a mistake for me, as most people have said, the lack of pace is your big concern. |
