I thinks theres abit of an agenda there against McGuire if i'm honest and that probably stems from Leeds being such a successful team recently. He's preformed in bursts here and there for England and GB but then again who's been a totally consistant player especially in the backline for the past 10 years? The nearest i can probably think of to that is Keith Senior who's always done well at the international level.

Did McGuires preformence against the Aussies warrent a 23 page thread= probably not.

As for Tomkins he's only young and will have better games then Saturday night but he did ok. Without making excuses i'd have liked to have seen what he could have done with abit more and a bit better quality ball. Some of the passes he recieved he had to collect off his bootlaces or had to turn back to collect them.

Tomkins seemed to get a shocking pass from Sinfield most times, meaning the aussies were in his face as soon as he collected the wayward passes.

Well on the principle that only a retard would judge a players carreer and ability soley on one performance then yes I feel that needs defending!
