there was 3 charges against Millward:

1) abusing the Warrington media officer
2) abusing the Saints media officer
3) Swearing at the 4th official and subsequently lieing about it

make your own mind up about whether those 3 are worse than what Pryce did.

To be fair to the board they know the facts of the case, they know exactly what happened which is something nobody on here knows.

Just like last week people were assuming because he hadn't got a custodial sentence he had "got away with it" they are assuming the exact same now. Some people wouldn't have been happy unless the club sacked him - and for most its nothing to do with what has happened but to do with a dislike of the player.

This could have been the right moment to set the right example in Rugby league. Given the decision I am ashamed that the board did not make a condition of him continuing in Saints colours dependent upon him sending a replacement one of these to Mr. O' Brien....

Exactly right, which is why Saints and Wigan have kept Pryce and Feka on respectively and Wire took the chance to dump the injury prone underachieving Reardon.

if anyone thinks that had Leon been a fringe player or a reservist he would have got the same 'punishment' then they are deluded.

I agree, from what i have read i think people are blowing it way out of proportion and the right punishment has been given - only for the reason of bringing bad publicity to the game/your club.

We didnt chicken out of sacking Ian Milward our most successfull coach.
Wigan of course had no such qualms about then immediately recruiting a disgraced coach.

The club appear to have followed standard disciplinary procedures re Pryce has been given a formal warning re his behaviour.
This is not a let off as some people may think. Pryce now knows he has to be squeaky clean in how he behaves at the club.

Certainly i would expect any professionally run club such as Saints to follow employment guidelines re internal disciplinary matters. Otherwise they could find themselves at the wrong end of the law and facing a civil suit for unfair dismissal.
