I always defend Richards but he really doesn't help himself with daft errors like he's made.

Our passing is just off. Not just the ones which are not going to hand, but also the timing of those which do : too many balls going behind them man or to him, rather than in front so he can run on to it. Which partly explains our lack of go forward.

Great play by Saints we've helped Wigan but they have already lost discipline as they are not getting their own way.

Mose has done that for the last two years, just some one eyed speccies would prefer to have an 80 minute plodder who grafts. Mose is an impact player, and he has done exactly that while he has been here. We will be a lot worse without him

This team is showing a great deal of guts. They've been tremendously resilient, physically and mentally, to be going in at HT 6-6.

But what they've got in guts they seriously lack in smarts. The usual penalties are there, often for the most pointless things (e.g. Jones pushing the man over at the PTB on tackle 4 when we already had our line set). The two best attacking territorial sets we've had have been squandered on tackle 1. And where we've had chances to break away we've bombed the pass.

We're still in the game, but we don't half make it difficult for ourselves.

There's a real difference in defence. Wig and line is much faster to get up. Saints are walking three forward then standing. We seem to be gifting them yards, perhaps because we think it'll keep our defensive line more organised.

Quinlan is unbelievably poor in defence

Quinlan needs to add more value than that. That was awful. But it was also some pretty awful defence in the line too. Saints genuinely look absolutely shattered. What on earth have they been doing this last week?

I like Josh Jones, but I'll not miss him playing centre. He gave that pass to Swift way too early. A few seconds later we're standing under our own sticks. Richards is having another game to forget. Williams caught him having a rest there.

You just knew he wasn't going to lay a finger on Williams as soon as he broke through.

Every time a player breaks our line I think it'll end up a try. I'd genuinely try running Makinson at full back in defence with Quinlan defending on the wing. Only problem with that though is that Quinlan is so small he'd get targeted on kicks.
