Considering that Saints lived on Sky Sports between about 2000 and 2006, and that Eddie & Stevo were permanently lodged up Millward & or Cunningham's backside, I think these whines are a bit rich



I'm impressed that Saints have made the GF, but I think you've done it "under the radar" so to speak, certainly in comparison to the aforementioned seasons, as most talk has been about Wigan or Leeds, and possibly us.

One thing is certain, if it's a Wire v Saints GF and we win, all those hammering, all those Long-induced last-second heartbreaks will suddenly seem worth it.

Some Saints fans weren't around in those days so we really can't say! But while I know Sky like a 'story' and, after Saints' dominance of the early days of Superleague we are not any kind of 'story', some of the comments they made on the bit of the match I managed to watch back last night before having to sleep in readiness for work today left me wondering how much the Sky team undermine the sport these days to the outside world. They are the most amateurish crew imaginable.


I think that's great myself and I also think it's great that we will go into the GF as distinct underdogs regardless of who wins tonight.


And if we win, it will be wonderful. The Wanky Warrington song will take on a whole new resonance!

I watched it when got back in last night on sky plus was disgusted with they sky team.

Catalan this, Catalan that, ref giving us everything, oldfield this, oldfield that etc etc etc!

Let's praise Catalan for under achieving and coming 7th in the league and getting to the semi.

Let's pay no respect to the team that topped the table for 16 weeks of the season, that topped the league since May, that slaughtered the "golden team of 2014" cas and then stuffed the French.

Anyone would think they deserve to be at Old Trafford.

What you need to do is watch our game again on the SKY (Eddie + Stevo) version on Sunday then watch the BBC commentary version.......it will be 2 different games.

I'm not going to claim any anti-saints bias, but its fairly galling when a commentary crew seem to concentrate on every negative thing (missed forward passes mainly) possible instead of the good.

Am I the only one who saw Adam Swift's finish when he saw off 3 catalan defender to get in at the corner? He didn't seem to get a ounce of credit on the telly.

Fair play on this. A couple of years ago the Wigan fans were adamant that the commentary crew, Eddie in particular, [ihated[/i wigan. Now, as a lad that started watching in '93, I can assure you that I've had plenty of experience with Eddie's verbal ejaculation over guys wearing Cherry and White.

I just wish that they'd talk about all the good things, instead of spending minutes and minutes of airtime bemoaning things like dubious decisions.

I will probably get slaughtered for this, but I think that its great that Saints have made the final, just goes to show that with hard work you can achieve in spite of all the injuries.

As a Wigan fan I hope its us playing you in the final, and I am not daft enough to think that it would be an easy game. This Saints team is showing that its made a strong stuff, and when the team is fully fit next year they will surely be the team to beat.

Fed up of hearing people say that this team is the worst to reach the final, nobody has gifted this position to you and you are there on merit. I wish Wigan were as poor as you and had won the LLS. We were certainly wanting it and went all out for it, Shaun Wane doesn't try to lose and wants to win every game.

Well done for getting your season back on track and good luck for the final, if its you and Wire then I will be shouting for the Red V, if its us, then a nervous night waits and I hope its a great game.

Just watched the game back and they didn't half put out a pro-Catalans campaign on sky! Even that wally Cummins jumped on it, surely that's him criticising Silverwood's performance? I thought he was just there to defend every blatantly wrong decision the ref makes?
