Why would any opposition player want to injure Wellens? Its to their advantage when he is on the pitch,

Because McIlorum has less intelligence than a damp sponge.

| It's a shame really, i actually think McIlorum has a lot of talent so why spoil it by being a malicious little freak? No room for biting in this game. Graham rightly served a lengthy ban and so should Micky Mac.
He seems a genuinely alright bloke in person when i met him once. Why he behaves like such a reckless idiot on the pitch i have no idea as he could be ahead of Roby in the England squad if he concentrated more on his game rather than being a tw*t

| Just watched the video and there is no clear indication of biting. However there is a very clear evidence of a forearm in MM's face. I suppose that is ok.

| Does seem very similar to the Graham/Slater incidence, send it over for the NRL to judge don't think the RFL have any experience of this type of thing.

Let's be honest, if we talking foul play, let's look at a high shot that took a 19 year old kid out the game and out of Mondays game.

| If you are referring to SOL's tackle I don't see how you can call that a high shot. His arm was down. It was certainly a tough tackle and very unfortunate to result in an injury. A high shot: no. RL is a tough sport. I remember SOL getting his leg broken badly in a Good Friday game several years ago.

Lets say Shirley made most of the opportunity, if it ends up hitting the head which in this case it did perhaps you can redefine what A high shot is.
It very much looked like shoulder to the head, the opportunity to use his arm was not available.

| Dear, oh dear, rugby getting too rough for your team then? Wellen's leads with the forearm then complains when his arm makes contact with an opponents mouth.
Take care at Widnes .. its a plastic pitch ... better pack a few more sticking plasters in case anyone grazes their knees!

seriously you think those incidents are even comparable? i missed the point where slater ran in to graham with his ear, Still don't think graham bitt slater by the way.
Wouldn't surprise me if Micky did bite him but he made no clear movement to bite him, considering wellens had just forearmed in the face.

fairly sure he came back on not so long after that. can hardly call it a high shot considering the player was a foot from the ground, but if o'loughlin contains those kinds of reactions no wonder why he is the best player in super league. still not sure why he would intentionally take out a rookie and not someone like walmsley.

No he didn't come back on and ok, let's call it a head shot.
