Leave to poor Salford fan alone. He can help that his team are crap. Let him have his fun.

As for the Wigan fan... Don't worry son, Warrington are still going to finish higher than you in the league.

I'm finding it amusing that Wigan fans seem to be making so much out of a 2 point lead at this stage of the season.

In general, it feels to me that although we're enjoying our current position we're wary of our inconsistancies in previous years and that they could very easily come back should we drop the intensity. There aren't many speaking about league leaders shields or grand finals, we're just enjoying the ride at the moment.

In regards to your game on Friday, I attended and wanted St Helens to win. I think (I should I say thought) Warrington may finish above Saints this season plus their defeat has allowed us to sit two points clear on top.

I think St Helens are enjoying the eye being on everyone else but them this season. To grab a win against Warrington and not play to their full potential just goes to show what a class side they are. I just thought you sometimes played with little structure, but when that comes back you'll be back on top form...I just hope it doesn't come back against us.

We will beat wigan easily.

People are thinking that Mcguire has somehow suddenly turned an average playing roster into a world class one. Our pack is twice their pack and our halfbacks are streets ahead in terms of skill and form. You can argue on paper their backs are stronger and in Roberts and Richards have the 2 best wingers in the league, but our backs are as solid as a rock in defense.

It will be over by the 60 minute mark.

Ahhhh, it's nice to have the overconfident Wigan back. Beating the resigned Wigan just wasn't as much fun.

Nothing overconfident in my post at all. I just think a dry pitch will suit us better than a wet one. It will be a tough game. Codarmy though seems to be very confident.

Nothing overconfident appart from suggesting we need to offer ourselves up to the rain gods? The obvious allusion being we can't compete on a dry track?

No I just think a dry pitch will suit WIGAN better than a wet one. Read what I writted icon_biggrin.gif rather than what YOU thought I did.

I did read it - it said "I suggest you start your rain dance now."

Spin it how you wish, but it's a clear reference to us needing conditions to be a leveller against the mighty Wigan.

If Saints can turn over Huddersfield which will be very tough, and Wigan defeat Leeds which is highly likely, then the derby game should be a belter and another sell out at the old girl.

Wigan have looked impressive this year, and their defeat at Bradford was due to a freak second half with their first half performance more akin to what they have served up this year.
