I don't know how anyone can blame Potter yet. He needs a chance to rebuild.
Saints are in exactly the same position Wigan were in 5 years a go.
We lost Farrell, Lam, O'Connor, Cassidy and Radlinski in a short space and tried to replace with kids but it didn't work.
Long and Cunningham are still hanging on at Saints but they are past it now. You try to replace with kids but you can't replace experience. Under the salary cap you can't buy experience either.
I don't think things will end us as bad at St Helens like they ended up at Wigan (two record defeats and a relegation battle) but it'll be damn hard for you to keep at the top.
Like's been said though your season isn't over yet.

On paper you still have the best fully fit first team 17 in SL.
But I don't think you will win the Grand Final this year.

We don't. Leeds full strength 17 is better than ours. They have better outside backs (Bar Gidley) and a far better pack (Bar 2/3 of the front row). |

No team has a right to success and no fans have a right to expect it.
Leeds are without doubt the best bunch of players while Hudds and Hulk are the best teams. Saints best chance of success, in true Merseyside Styleee, is a smash-and-grab on the GF.
I would love that.

I wouldnt swap him for any other hooker in SL. Maybe Buderus if he wasnt so injury prone. |
