| We can't play that badly very often, so at least its out the way. If people are blaming the ref, then its worth recalling the point when we were on their line on the 5th and managed to end up getting tackled on the half way line! Woeful.
On the plus side, I enjoyed seeing Wheeler get a bit of a run out, he does look slick.
Long's game opitomised our failings on the night and, as much as I know how good he comes back when people write him off, Eastmond is starting to look more like actual competition for his shirt rather than just a young squad member.
Also, I still think we need 1 more prop.

| I've every confidence that we will bounce back this week.
Don't forget on last friday we had only had a five day gap from the previous game as opposed to Bradford's seven.
I know they are fully fit athletes but those two days does make a big difference especially to the older players like Longy and Kieron both of whom looked a bit off their game.
We were definately sharper with Roby at acting half.
This week we will have had an extra couple of days over Wigan. hopefully big Tony and Gidley should be back so we shouldn't have any problems.

How are your feelings re Sean Long because when i've seen him play this season it looks like it might be one season too many and i'd like to know what the people who watch him week in week out think?...'"
I think he's been doing alright. Not outstanding, but certainly not shocking. He's not hit top form just yet, but i wouldn't say its a season too far or anything like that. I'm confident he will come good.

| Overreaction or what? We lost get over it. Haven't got a god given right to win every game you know. I would much rather lose a weekly round game such as Friday to ensure we are peaking at the right moment which is Old Trafford in October.

well you have been short of the mark in 04,05,07 and 08. not much but short non the less, if your gonna be there or there abouts in the cup then its have a big squad which you dont! or have some periods in the season where you play within yourselves, where training is less intense and the performance may suffer.
if you dont win the GF this year 1 in 6 is hardley dominant is it? so previous seasons would suggest change may be needed in terms of preparation throughout the season

Pryce?

They beat the side (3-0) that went on to become the World Champions 12 months later.
The point was someone mentioned Burrow as never having performed at International level when a Man Of The Series award might question that claim.

Wasn't a dig mate, just that the Burrow point was made in response to the same accusation being levelled at Pryce - fact is they were both outstanding in that series, as were several others.
I have a horrible feeling that says more about the Kiwis that year than Pryce and Burrow though.

That is a point I have made many times before.
IIRC the Kiwis had a lot of their top players missing for whatever reason for that series.
