As opposed to Snail Wellens who makes it look like you're watching in slow motion.

Wellens always runs forwards. He's never wary of taking on the line. He may not go forward very quickly or even beat a man these days, but Wellens is never crab like!
On the point about Graham, I think it's stating the bleeding obvious to say that we will miss him. Of course we will. Nobody in our front row has ever been as willing as Jammer to take the ball forward. But if this team want to go anywhere this season then some of our less enthuisastic forwards are going to have to start taking the ball forward. If they don't, I'd suggest we give those newly promoted lads a try instead. They may be keener.

I agree and that's why IMO we should have brought a top quality prop in to replace jammer. We had the money as we offered jammer the best ever contract.
I hate to say it as I've backed him the last 12 month but I thi k perry is finished. He's just to slow, don't make meters, misses tackles which I'm gutted about as I've been a fan of his for years.
Laffranchci looks a good player, runs hard, makes meters and does his work in defence but for me the club must have knew perry is struggling and should have brought in a top prop.
I think our season we will depend on how our props turn out because at the moment they don't look good enough to make the grand fiñal.

Top prop such as who? I wouldn't lump griffin Gibbs or hill that bracket, and not sure who else was available?

Bryce gibbs and Jason king would have been excellent signings. They are both very very aggressive hard working props.
I'm trying to rack my brains with the other two that was off contract but can't think of their names.
Griffin ain't great but at this moment in time looks twice the player perry is. It kills me to say that as I keep saying as a big NRL fan, I've been a big perry fan for past 5 years.
I just think we've been unlucky with perry as the club signed him when he was in the top ten props in the world.
Laffranchci will go well tho, just a shame we've no top prop to partner him. If perry gets back to his best then I think him and laffranchci will go well together.

| At what stage of development is Carl Foster and Jordan Hand, isn't Jordan Hand a raw speedy prop who can make plenty of metres if coached to the right level.

I'd really like to see Jordan Hand get some game time this season but I have a sneaky feeling that unless injuries hit, we won't see our new boys. I have yet to know of a coach that will drip feed young talent as a policy rather than a response to injuries. However, I keep hoping! Jordan Hand has had good reports from the u20s on a consistent basis and he is a big lad for his age. An early season run out would be good to watch but I'm not holding my breath.

Neither Foster nor any other junior prop who has yet to make a significant contribution to the bench is closer than two years away from being a reliable first team option. And that's an OPTIMISTIC assessment.

| OP....Wouldnt any club miss one of the best players in the world in their position?
Wigan would miss Tomkins, Melbourne would miss Slater/Smith, North Queensland would miss Thurston.....And just how much are Brisbane going to miss Lockyer.
Its up to the players in the wings to step up, and that isnt always an instant thing, and even then, how can anyone fill Jammers boots like for like? In my opinion he is a very unique player and the only prop i have seen to do the things he does.

A few props, or players who can play NRL who re-signed or transferred that i can think of...
Josh McGuire
David Shillington
Andrew Fifita
Petero Civoneceva
Adam Blair
Kade Snowden
Nate Myles
Trent Merrin
Any of those?
