Saints on Twitter have just reported that the Academy have beaten the Sharks 30-22, which is a fantastic result for them. That's a 75% success rate so far. Amazing. And they played in 30 degree heat.

The good thing is they still haven't played their best yet, today was once again very scrappy and they only converted two tries.

At one stage the Sharks got back to 22 -22 despite scoring two less tries so they will need to improve all round to beat Penrith in the last game.
Hesketh and Clare were good up front while Adam Swift continues to impress. Savellio was awarded man of the match.

What's the deal with playing against the U17s? Is that the norm? What's the average age of our guys?

Ours are mainly 16 or 17 with handful that have just turned 18.

Most of those Aussie under 17's will actually be nearing 18 due to the way the school year runs.

They are therefore pretty much the same age group.

The Eclipse will have a better idea on the relative age groups of the players.
