| Shenton reminds me of Gleeson (when he first came to Saints) in some respects. He doesn't have Gleeson's footwork, but he's more direct and maybe possesses half a yard extra.
I suspect Lomax and Gaskell are both right handed halves, which would explain Shenton's lack of service as he's on the wrong side. It takes time for young playmakers to develop a solid wrong-side pass - but it'll come. The return of Pryce should help as he can shunt the ball to the right with some zip.

| According to one wiganer "in the know", whos past exclusives include, "Eastmond had 100% signed for union in 2009", "Mcillroum was guaranteed to be the next gb hooker for years to come" and "wheeler had defo signed for wigan", Shentons first choice was wigan.

Everyone's first choice is Wigan, isn't it? Or perhaps it is Warrington ...

Can't think why Wigoon would want another centre when they have world class players in the shape of Gleeson and Pryce . Oh hang on.

It was better than that, he wanted to go to Wigan, but they weren't fool enough to match his outrageous wage demands, but saints would.

According to that source every player with talent is a (lifelong)Wigoon fan and they all secretly want to sign for them....
through the years though Wigoon have steered away from these talented players (because of the wage demands of course) and preferred instead to 'invest' in quality overseas talent of the more mature variety (obviously still all lifelong Wigoon fans)

I heard he signed for less money at Saints than Cas offered him to stay but he went purely for playing reasons. If that's true fair play to the lad.

Did you see his post match interview after the Wakey game? He said that what kept him going when he had his injury down under was the thought of a new coach, a new team, a new start. Along with other things he has said in interviews, it sounded like he had become a little stale at Cas, while still acknowledging that it was hard for him to leave the club.

| Maybe him moving was best for him and Cas too. Since then we've promoted Joe Arundel to starting centre and he's filling Shenny's boots well and has potential to be better then Shenton (in my opinion). Shenny became very average for us in the previous 18 months ago. I always respected Shenny because he was a top pro, but that being said, we aren't missing him. Good luck to him though, hope he does well, apart from when he plays against us.

He's far from average for us, and he's filling far bigger boots too left by Matt Gidley. I'm glad we've got him for the next three years.

Good for him. We're thriving without him. Everyone wins.
