Fat Man? Riddell watching the game was he?

No,
Although he did play well on Friday, but I believe he may be in trouble for the tackle that put Chris Dean in hospital.

can anyone confirm, it, I don't have the recording and don't remember a bad tackle so it may be hearsay.

Chris was taken to hospital after being sick, and had concussion.

To be quite honest, we were horrendous on Friday, pathetic even. However we were due to be rubbish at some point with the way we've been playing and it adds more evidence to the reality that Saints can only ever beat themselves right now. The saving grace is that Leeds lost as well so it is 'as it were' so to speak. Roll on next week and get back on the horse.

We have lost twice, both at home. Once when we aren't given an entire penalty in the second half and once after giving up a 26-10 HT lead despite injuries everywhere. We have lost 2 matches by the combined total of 5 points. It could be a hell of a lot worse.

it just shows how much gardener relys on gidley's defence and try assists.
i think all so we sometimes rely on T.P a bit to much.

How does Gardner being left with a three man overlap mean HE relies on Gidley in defence?

Quote: NickyKiss "Saints were complacent.

I talked on our board today about how great sides like Saints get complacent once every few months whereas teams like ours get complacent every other week and think we've made our season on the back of a big win against an average side.

Unfortunatley i think we'll feel the backlash of this next weekend.'"

Complacency was there to see, but also think of the three games in seven days. It has thrown up some bizzare scorelines.

It was disappointing for us to lose to one of the poorest teams in the league, but we deserved to given the atrocious display of passing and silly errors that were evident.

If Bradford had a better hooker it could have been more comfortable for them.

Of course he relies on Gidley's defence, every winger has to rely on his centre to make sure he's not isolated and left with 3 men to tackle. Ade's one on one defence is pretty good these days, miles better than it used to be, but he has to be in a one on one situation to use it. Leave him isolated and he (like other wingers) can't prevent a try. Defence isn't something you can do on your own

Indeed - the team turned up twice in the same game thinking that all they had to do was go through the motions. The first half was just pathetic, no excuses, they thought it was won before they kicked off.

Hopefully, Potter will give them a kicking this week. If Eastmond is fit, Long should be dropped. KC needs a rest, it was noticable for the first time ever that we dropped intensity when he was on the field, so Roby should start against Wigan.

Last time we played so badly (Cas away last year) we came back the following week and scored 50odd.

Quote: Saddened! "Just what the merry hell has happened to our famed 'd'. We've gone from being as tight as Borat's mankini to being as sloppy as the second man in on a night out in Benidorm.

Tonight was appalling throughout, but the defensive patterns were shot to pieces. For the majority Bradford didn't even try anything elaborate, they just retreated back to basics as they fought their own demons, even within tonights game. Despite this they were still able to trot about 50 metres with ease and found it incredibly easy to score close to the line.

Do we put this all down to the lethargy Leeds are going through because it's already obvious the top 2 is sorted or is there something more to it?'"

i tell ya what!! lets get our squads together and we can put you back on track with ya defence and you could teach us how to attack??

Quote: Harry Pinner "We lost tonight by just not doing the basics right;

- Completion rate was abysmal
- When we did manage to get to the last tackle nobody had a clue what to do (epitomised by going from attacking their line on 5th to handing the ball over inside our own half one tackle later)
- Constant penalties and knock ons in our own half
- Defence totally disorganised'"

Simple really.

Too many players out/ rested

Wellens, Gardner, Dean, Gilmour, Meli, Pryce, Long, Graham, Cunningham, Hargreaves, Wilkin, Flannery, Clough.
Replacements: Wheeler, Roby, Fa'asavalu, Ashurst.

3 players who barely got a look in in the team last season and no
TP, Gidley and Cayless. Long and KC having their worst games for years. Long kicked 3/6 while bradford 5/6.

We certainly need to resolve the kicking game. 50% success and not finding touch is pretty awful. If Long is not upto kicking we really should be looking at bringing someone in who can (Eastmond/ bring back smith)

I doubt Cayless would have made a differemce but we missed Gidley and Tony P for sure.
