You seem to have some good young props cominmg through.
They will have to perform at their very best to get a game as this is Perry's last year on his contract so I'm sure he will be ripping it up for you in 2013.

He'll have to put in more yards and minutes than Jammer used to to get a new deal from us

Cant see Perry getting much game time this season. Up to now he's been a total wast. Knowing Brown's Reputation he will select the team on form and not reputation.

I disagree, but only with the word total. He's had some games where he's been outstanding and shown he has a lot of strengths. Unfortunatley, just as he had started to win his detractors around, he hit some awful form for the playoffs.

A real dissapointment.

Makinson was awful kicking last season at times. Missed some absolute sitters from what I recall.

We only need one goal kicker, far better to have 1 that can really kick than 5 who aren't too bad. I would imagine long term Percival will be the kicker but short term you can understand Brown looking at his options.

Makinson is very very erratic. Kicks from the touch line then slices them when they are much closer to the posts. Lomax is about Long's level of goalkicking I'd say.

I think having our best kicker as our lead kicker is a good idea but I don't think any team can have too many goal kickers. Say Gaskell is our best kicker. He should get first dibs at the kicking in a match and then unless goal kicks become absolutely crucial to the outcome, he should be interchanged as kicker with any of our other kickers so that Gaskell remains fresh and others get game time kicking practice in. All it would take in those circumstances would be for Gaskell to be injured and unless our other kickers were up to speed we could find ourselves struggling for points.

Long used to be a good kicker, he just got worse with age
