Correct, they probably overplayed, rather than underplayed if you understand my meaning.

| Quote: Supreme Sydney2002 "VERY good game of RL, a 6 minute spell of fatigue cost the catalans. But over te 80 mins the dragons were the better team. Very NRL like they were. Fast and furious in defence and put in some hits that will leave bruises for weeks on the Leeds bodies. They are one hell of a unit, and just need to cut out their silly holding down shinnanigans and be a little more composed on the line. Just goes to show that the season is pointless, and its a case of gearing up at the end.
Awesome game of RL.'"
You ignore the obvious knock on from mcguire for their 1st try and then the penalties given by silverwood for "brushing" in the tackle.
AKA Leeds musr make the GF

TBH I'd rather play Leeds than Catalan.'"
doesn't matter to you - the goons won't be playing either.

| Quote: McClennan "I agree. Both Saints and Wigoon have a physical enough game to put them under pressure. I like our composure and muscle against Leeds and like Wigoon's big hits and determination against them.
One thing that Saints fans moaned about over the past couple of years is our perceived inability to match Leeds in poorer weather conditions. I'm more confident this year of facing them because of the way Potter has drilled into us our need to go forward with the ball through the pack. It will be a different Grand Final this year and it's a 50/50 game for me with Leeds one score favourites.'"
I got shot down on here a few weeks back after the Catalans vs Saints game at Knowsley Rd for claiming Saints would go on to win the Grand Final but i'm still just about sticking to that.
I've tried to be positive on our board and back us to edge the game tomorrow but in reality i believe we may just miss out. If that happens you guys will go on and win the grand final imo.
I see Leeds as a good side that have been fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time to get the success they have but are they a great side? I'm not too sure and i think they have more weaknesses then any other 'supposed' best team during any given year in the superleague era and that may well be exploited in the grand final.
The one thing that could cost Leeds imo is going into a final with the favourite tag on their heads. They have a few players who imo look like that tag could go to their heads and they'll believe the Grand Final will be a formality.
The winners of the game tomorrow will go on to win the Grand Final imo.

I'd love to watch Webb, Burrow and Diskin out of dummy half running at Fekka on the big Old Trafford pitch.
I don't think either St Helens or Wigan's packs are as good as the Cataln forwards.
I was disappointed with how sloppy we were tonight but we looked like a team that had a week off. We started badly, losing the collisions in the first 15 mins, but once we settled down be blew them away.
Our try at the start of the 2nd half probably saw us put the cue on the rack a little bit but I am glad of the hard contest and I am glad that performance is out the way before next week.
I suspect you will see a different Leeds next week, whoever it is that gets through.

| Not slagging off the ref tonight or anything, cause I don't usually go down that road, but here's a talking point for you that nobody seems to have picked up on...Did anybody notice the final pass for Leeds 1st try of the second half? Sinfield (I think) threw out a long pass dead on the 25yrd line, it took one bounce (in front of the line) and by the time it reached Donald it had clearly gone forward as he caught it well over the line!
That's the momentum rule for you, though.

You're obsessive and you have an inferiority complex.

| I've read all the posts in this thread and just watched the game back and if you think silverwood is s Leeds homer you are on crack! thats the worst set of calls our club has got in many a season in the last 40 of that game.
If the rfl had any self respect silverwood would be made to say sorry to the Leeds club, the fact the game ended with a pen to Leeds for the umpteenth Catalan head shot says it all.
Plus as bad A pro foul as you will ever see in a game unpunished?
it's just not on

I'd rather have Ganson next week (even against Saints), Silverwood was shockingly bad for both teams
