On the subject of Tomkins actions in the final, the Leeds fans deserved it, as does anyone who Boo's Englands best young player.
Alot of fans believe they have a god given right to abuse players and that players have no right to react. \grow up, thats not how things work in the real world.

Not true though. There were fans of a number of clubs booing Tomkins. So should he stick the vs up to them all? Even those of us who just happen to be at the same club but weren't actually at the Exiles game?

And anyway so what? Is he a soft ass? Jammer gets booed every week but he doesn't flick the vs at fans.

IMO he should, yes. I can virtually guarrantee non of them would say it to him if they were on their own.

I hate the British attitude of putting down guenuine tallent. Noone can deny that Sam put his body on the line every game, England could do with 17 such tallented and commited players

What caps it all is that when we were having our very very fallow period... We were accused of being bitter and living in the past... Nice to see that some saints fans, are just as ungracious as some Wigan fans were... The bitterness here can almost be touched.. and calling a player "Runt" or "Ratboy" is just pathetic and so so immature. To be honest, i would not blame Sam if he buggered off to Onion now, and left the sad, bitter, small minded fans of RL where they belong....

God help you if you fall off your high horse. Personally I dont agree with booing an England player regardless of who it is or who he plays for but Tomkins onfield antics leave alot to be desired and it's not exactly a shock he gets up people's noses. The fact he is a talent is neither here nor there, if he was crap and behaved like he did people would still dislike him he'd just not get the press.

As for Graham and his talking back to refs it's out of order but he's not a cheat. He need to control his gob though.

I think the pies are missing the point with the runt. He's not being booed because he's a class act (which he is), he's being booed for the total lack of respect to players and fans and his constant playing for pens (cheating) at the play the ball. Every play the ball is a complete mess wheather he's in attack or defence.

In all the years I've watched the game I've never seen such a pure hate of a players. The have been great players that have irritated opposition fans like long, Edwards, offiah, farrall etc but I've never ever heard any get booed when they play for there country.

You are honestly saying that a so-called professional sportsman who is paid to play the game and is supposed to have regard for the game's image as a representative of that game, is perfectly justified in telling people of all ages to f*ck off, even if they weren't guilty of booing him in the first place, weren't even at the match?


No, it wasn't. It made him look like a nob and put our chances in the game at risk. But it was also very funny and was also NOT an insult to fans of any colours. He had a perfectly legitimate try denied by a ref who took incompetence to new levels and reacted very badly. He got told off for it by the coach who was not shy in letting the world know that he had been a naughty boy. Jammer apologised to his team mates as he put them under more pressure. That is exactly the right response by coach and player.

Some "fans" here are forgetting things like betting scandals.. And would prefer to be indignant by proxy when a kid flicks a "V", an insult which has so little significance in the world we live in, not a good or sensible thing to do i would agree. But not premeditated like a betting scam....
