| Been at a forum tonight, KC and Scully seem to think he's been very ill advised and would be wrong in making the move.
Scully did slip and say he'd b moving to a different part of the country while he was talking

Looks like it's Bath then, unless he's taking up residence in Thatto Heath from Oldham.

I don't see why it's taking so long to announce.

Presumably because it's taking him this long to make up his mind?

| I'd stay, if I were him.
Fitness aside he has everything it takes to become one of League's top earners.
I know there's the carrot of international RU money, but I'm unsure of how certain that is for him. Whilst I don't doubt his talent, I think a lot of people are largely basing a prediction he'll take to RU easily on his similarities to Jason Robinson. Now, it was the best part of a decade since he moved and rugby union, especially internationals, are a lot more professional.
Whilst I'm sure Kyle will rip it up at club level week in-week out, its likely he'll be playing wing, full back or perhaps outside centre. When it comes to international level, the opposition are just going to see a really little guy, and pummel him out of the game - and let's face it, Kyle isn't exactly one of those small but tough players who can take the punishment.
If he fails to make the grade at international level, its going to be a pretty uninspiring career playing only club Rugby Union, when he could've been the best in Rugby League.

| The £££ comparisons between RL and RU are really interesting. At a sportsmans dinner a few weeks ago, one of our ex-refs was talking openly about the payments of referees in both codes.
Approximately speaking, RL refs get around £300 per game whereas in RU, the officials match fee is in the region of £780 per game.
Whilst there is such a massive imbalance, even at club level, RU will always offer an attractive alternative for those players who are motivated by money and are willing to take the risk. But as you say Monkey, its a bigger risk for Kyle due to his physical stature.

| Bath have announced a signing this morning. Would seem strange for them not to wait for the announcement of Kyle and do them together if it was a "done" deal. Makes me think it's not as cast iron as people are making out.

I can well imagine him going the same way as Henry Paul and ending up on the international 7's circuit - Travel the world, get well paid and play a bit. Come the end of your career, however, you're probably going to be thinking you could have acheived a lot more.
£££s are important, but lets face it, unless he's wreckless with his dough, Kyle's RL career would set him up very nicely for life, even if it doesn't match a RU offer.

Like you say i dont think there'll be a massive difference in potential career earnings, unless he can become the darling of English RU, but i dont see that happening. In league though he could be THE face of the game in this country, get all the best sponsorship deals like scully did 5 or so years ago, he's already on the cover of the rugby league game so the marketing men in league already see his potential.
