Like previous posters have said it reminds me of a bit like Gleeson when we signed him from Hudds.
Shenton for me has all the potential to be a top class centre.

Seems like his injury wasn't too bad:
"He's going to go for precautionary scans but he saw the specialist yesterday and we're 99% sure it's not serious," said Castleford coach Terry Matterson.
"He definitely won't play at Salford on Sunday and he probably won't play the week after but he could be back the week after that.
"We're really pleased because it didn't look good. Something popped out but it popped back in again. We're due a bit of good luck."

True, but it's a very strong rumour from numerous sources and makes perfect sense in terms of our squad.
I'd be surprised if he's not a Saint next year TBH.

Well Shenton himself was telling the England players he's signed for Saints so I think he has. |

Told by a good source he may well be on his way to the NRL, an approach was made by the same club at the end of last year which Cas rejected.

Technically he cannot have done so. Legally, all contracts must have a specified date on which they are signed. If he has signed a contract St Helens would be guilty of approaching a player under contract before the official anti-tampering deadline has passed.
Shenton may well have agreed a deal in principle, but it will not be signed and sealed legally until it is actually signed, which cannot happen until after September 1st if I remember right.
