I'm glad you explained that because I couldn't figure what was going on there.

it was - and it explains the reasoning behind us looking completely clueless at times on the last tackle. With only 1 half back, 2 hookers, no loose forward and 4 second rowers we are bound to be creatively dodgy - not to mention 2 young props on the bench.

It was really. With quite a few players out of position it didn't help the team's performance.

| He looked to me like he got caught in two minds, still the cover was coming across so it's unlikely Armstrong would have got the try IMO, he'd have run out of room.
He's young and inexperienced, just as Frodsham was last week when he got caught on the last tackle, these kind of mistakes were always going to happen and will happen in the future when we continue to give youngsters games in the 1st team.

You son know nothing!
Are you under 14 by any chance ? Gary Wheeler had a fine game considering he aint no centre. He likes to play his game in the centre of the field (stand off).
2 trys in 2 games and yet the Feckwits moan. Get a grip you idiots!

| I thought that he came inside to give his winger a little more space. IMO, which is probably wrong but it's as I saw it, the KR defence was covering over. Wheeler knew he wouldn't make it, came inside and tried to kick the ball into the corner for Armstrong. I thought he did the right thing but the execution let him down as he got tackled as he was dropping the ball to kick it. If it had come off he would have been a hero and we wouldn't have people on here slagging off a young lad at the start of his career.

Presumably that's because our experienced players, the ones that get paid the big fat salaries, actually managed to hold on to the ball? They're the ones who should be criticised, if anyone, for our loss on Friday night, not the young guys who to my eyes played their hearts out, played well, gave of their best and didn't look out of place in what was a pressure game (thanks in part to those experienced players I mentioned).

Most people would disagree with that view and I will take you up on your bet.

| He made a mistake, but he's a young lad, he is expected to make mistakes. There is nothing wrong with that, provided he learns from it. He didn't fare too badly considering that he was playing out of position. I wouldn't look to Wheeler, or any of the kids, to blame for the defeat, it was the senior players making bad decisions and silly errors that cost us.

| considering he was out of position i think he managed quite well if im honest.
he scored a try and that was with seeing hardly any of the ball. this shows quality and ability to find the try line.
he is not a natural centre so i would forgive him for coming inside most centres would use footwork and and a good offload to put the winger away maybe a rush of bloof to the head and maybe thought a step back on the inside and a supporting player would follow
