| Quote: Saddened! "Pah, nowt wrong with a little constructive criticism. We can't hold hands and skip round in circles all the time. The players and coaches aren't beyond criticism, Burns, Wilkin, Swift and KC will have plenty on their minds after that showing. Make or break for us I feel now. We got to Wigan and get hammered and it'll be hard to turn the tap back on, go there and win or go close and the good start and Wigan and Warrington's poor start will let us off the hook.
This is the first test of KC the coach. He's done a reasonable job so far, but made plenty of mistakes tonight. His use of Mose from the bench was wrong. He should have played 30 minutes a half, his size alone would have caused them real problems, with Alex and Vea taking second balls after his runs. We could have played cynically tonight and won comfortably, instead it looked like the cast of Allo Allo playing tonight rather than the Super League champions.'"
Mose couldn't last 15 minutes tonight let alone 30 - did you not see the huge gap he left on the line for Campese to run through? He did some good stuff in his second spell in attack, but was dire in defence.

We dont have anybody who can go round the outside or over players and make 60 - 70 metre breaks. Not one. When we was the top dogs Bradford had the pack we had the backs. That's what wins you the Grand finals'"
Both Swift and Makinson have made great breaks for us during their times on the wing, as has Percival and Turner. This season alone Turner has made a couple of great breaks. He set up a great try for Wilkin just last week.
Deary me. Some people have short memories. What we didn't have tonight was two functioning halfbacks, and we lost Robes which meant a big shift around again. Thanks to those misfiring players at halfback we were chasing the game as they gave two interception opportunities to the fastest halfback in the league who everyone knows loves to outrun everyone.

He did fine against Cas or whoever it was when we had a few injuries.

| The one player I have a problem with is Mr Average Flanagan, for the life of me I cannot see what he brings to the team. He would be lucky to get in one of the lower teams in the league. Yet, he seems to be immune from any form of criticism on here, for some reason. He was poor again tonight, but again the usual suspects get the abuse!

He was anonymous. But is was a game where 17 anonymous players would probably have seen us win it. Burns and Wilkin have averages games and we win by plenty tonight. They were there for the taking and we executed appallingly and didn't even try to put pressure on them near the line.

Sorry. 2 intercepts, a terrible missed 1on1 tackle and an awful attempt at a catch is you playing well? The hoodoo continues, and you pressured the halfbacks well - but they were awful and should of responded better. If they had you wouldn't have won.
Remember you scored 40 last year

You did have a really good go and you played okay given your bench. Tonight was awful from us however. We reminded me of a struggling golfer. On the green in two and three putting for a bogey all the time.

| Saddened! Is my favourite poster, hilarious.
No one can be that depressed? Jesus your champions and that was your 1st loss.
You have too many injuries. Though we had 2 fit props tonight against your giant pack. Our coach had a good game plan and moved you about and avoided front on contact as much as possible.
Masoe couldn't run when he was taken off exhausted.
Welcome to Burn's world....all about him. All the energy skill and bravery. No brain.
Campese is a far better player and person. Burns will annoy your squad.
Kelly is fantastic.
More Saddened! They are like an Hull fc fan in a Saints shirt.

I quite like Hull. I think they will smash you next week.

| Hull KR are quite spectactular in the same breath we are amateurish, if you look at it with a glass half full look, I've never seen a team break from defence to attack in devastating fashion as tonight, there isn't another team in SL who break/score tries look ourselves.
Yet, there isn't another team in SL who defend so poorly at times, and/or make horrendous mistakes, Dixon knock on from a bomb, the 'defence' for Makinson's try.
However, these are glaring errors, which can easily be fixed with a bit of game management and know how. If we invested in 1 or 2 good forwards, am I that biased into suggesting Rovers are the real deal?
Looking at Saints, I've never seen anyone else in the comp make the likes of Walmsley and LMS look scared in every hit-up. James Green and Adam Walker were brilliant, if anyone really dares to suggest Green's shoulder was a sending off then we might aswell pack up now as the sport would be going the same way as Wendyball.
This is the first thread i've come onto tonight, but no-ones mentioned the 2 hideous forward passes that nearly took away an unbelievably entertaining, albeit weird, game. Guys, we have RL 'officials' that miss American Football esque passes that can cost games, jobs, the interest of a neutral fan, (imagine watching RL for the first time tonight, for 73mins you'd be glued..only to think it was farcical in the last few mins) the difference between promotion and relegation etc etc.
And FWIW, Saints v Wigan next week, even though they are hardly firing, is a shoe-in for a Wigan win. Stranger things have happened though..

| We let our determination slip, forgot the basics and made a ton of errors. Hull KR scraped home by the skin of their teeth.
I can't recall too many matches in which the opposition were more dangerous INVITING us to ATTACK THEM.
It's understandable some are a bit frustrated. It is embarrassing losing to Hull KR.

You spend a lot of time with a red face then. Don't beat us too often do you.
Did we beat you twice or three times last season?

| Wow I thought it was just other clubs that go off the deep end after a loss.
That loss tonight is just that a loss. We lose there every year. Nothing special about it. We've lost there with very good backs in the side like Gidley.
It's a close league so lets just take the loss and move on.
