Really surprised at Saints for this. Very average player, barely makes it into our injury ridden side. Showed some moments of classy play, defensively pretty awful all of the time.

Manu - good piece of business by Saints
Turner - good piece of business by Hull imo.

Got to agree with that. Hull wanted to keep Turner but only at a bargain bin price. Manu we wanted to keep full stop.

With Arundel coming in and Crooks looking like a future star I don't think Turner is a great loss. With Manu the only consolation is that we got Ellis.

I actually found it pretty easy.

Atkins, Watkins, Goulding, Bridge, Yeaman, Welham, Shenton, Cudjoe, Hardaker, Ratchford (not specialist position), Ablett (not specialist position) are all English and play centre to a higher standard than Turner does.

You then have young players like J. Jones, Crooks, and Sarginson who have looked good this season but haven't been around long enough to be definitively classed above him.
Arundel is a centre in the Knights squad but he's been out for so long with injury that I would have to see how he returns before listing him.

Happy I with the signing. He certainly has is faults and has a lot to work on, but he undoubtedly has raw athleticism which we are lacking. He's a typical Brown signing with pace and power and if he can bring him on as he has with Huddersfield's outside backs he cold go well.

He'll offer very similar to what Shenton has but for far less money on the cap. If he's not performing well enough we have other players who can fill in at centre whilst he develops. That's how I see it anyway, by no means a classy player as of yet, but potential to develop.
