Regardless of Saddened's constant whining about Wellens, backed up by a couple more mindless gimps, Wellens has had a good year this year, and certainly deserving of a new contract. I guess a rolling contract means that there is no set end date to it, as such?

You are right though, I've said it all about Wello. Another season will just see him further erode his legacy and further enhance his position as a joke figure for opposition supporters. We'll see another year of flapping arms at referees, him arriving late or not at all to bombs, grubbers, positional kicks, breaks and tries being scored. We'll see him being stood up or embarassingly sat down by lumbering props or pacy backs and we'll continue to see him be an absolute black hole for attacking moves.

It's always difficult to talk about players the day after a game. Not his best game yesterday, but a season is measured over the full year not just yesterday when one of the best kickers of a ball caught him out 2 or 3 times.

I thought yesterday was a decent representation of his season to be honest. Defensively not quite getting there any more and very poor in attack, but still having enough game savvy to get over for a try.

Has someone told you this is what is happening or is this just your opinion of what should happen?

I just feel now is the time for Paul Wellens to be reduced to a squad playing role. As been said on previous threads pace if everything at Full Back in the modern day thats where we need improving without doubt. Everyother top Super League club has a fast Full Back who is causing damage week in week out. We as a club should also go down this route.
