Chalon Way car park is probably your best bet. Once you have come off the M62 you will be on the Linkway (a dual carriageway) which will take you straight into the town centre. Look out for the Park Inn hotel on your right, move into the right lane and turn right at the next traffic lights. Go round a little roundabout and you will see Chalon Way car park on your right. It's a multi storey so hard to miss. Once you've parked up, walk past the glass museum (the next building along from the car park) and under the railway bridge. You're then on your way to Langtree Park. It's a maximum 10 minute walk for an able bodied person.

| What they said ^^
It may be different with the kick off time being when it is and it being on a Sunday, you may get away with parking on Tesco as the store will be closed by then, I wouldn't normally advise it on a game night just in case as there are parking restrictions in place and therefore you risk one of those unenforceable 'fines' that are more hassle than they are worth, the same goes for the two retail parks adjacent to the stadium site, Ravenhead Retail Park and St Helens Retail park. You can park on the two multi-storey car parks closest to the Saints Bridge that lead to the stadium for £1 but you have to be out by 11pm, if you don't mind a short walk of 5 minutes or so, the surface car park at North John Street is a) free and b) won't be as difficult to get off as the multi-storey car parks.
Ultimately it depends largely on your preferences, want the security of an indoor car park? closer to the Stadium & opposite a Wetherspoons? don't mind paying a pound? Then I'd recommend the Chalon Way Multi-storey. Want free parking, a possible quicker get away, don't mind an additional few minutes walk? Park on North John Street/Lowe Street South surface car park. Risk-taker? Happy to flaunt private parking regulations and ignore potential unenforceable parking charges? Want to park outside/closer to the stadium? Park on one of the retail parks/Tesco where all of the shops will be closed anyway.

| Tell you what here's a map...
I have highlighted the stadium/tesco site, the two adjacent retail parks, and the three car parks I mention above. The oval on the right is Tontine multi-storey and to the left of that Chalon Way multi-storey (which is actually closer/more easily accessible despite how it may appear here), and the far left oval is the surface car park. The blue line is the path to and of the Saints Bridge leading to the ground. Assuming you'll be coming down the M62 you'll enter the picture from the bottom along the A570.

| Regardless of Tesco being open or not they will still have parking restrictions in place as will any of the retail parks. As mentioned park in Chalon Way or at a push Birchley Street to avoid tickets.

Is that taking into consideration that supermarkets from last Sunday stay open until 8pm during The Olympics?

| Is the old Tesco car park completely out of the question now? I haven't been since last month and there were signs saying the car park won't be in use in the future? What is happening to it?

The land is being developed and a new Range store is being built. I understand a fast food "restaurant" is also being built. I dont think you can park there now.

The East Stand (opposite end to the Tesco store)

| Just got home and may i say what a fantastic stadium you guys have......a shame we couldnt have brought more to enjoy it with us though, 1 little moan is the fact you have to walk through the main entrance to Tesco's which i can imagine could be a bit problematic should it be a busy shopping day, wouldn't fancy dodging the supermarket trolleys or trying to get through the mass of people with one either.
The bridge looks fantastic lit up too ...all in all a very pleasant place to be tonight

Thank you for that.
Glad you enjoyed the surroundings, if not the result.

It hasn't been an issue so far. I think most shoppers stay away if they know there's a game on.
