The 1990s version of ourselves, yes? Isn't that how we started Superleague?
Anyway, I'm going to go to Cougar Park. I haven't been there before. I'm looking forward to it.

Anybody who fancies a Carvery Sunday Lunch prior to the game Keighley has plenty of places to eat.
Here are a couple worth considering
www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/40893/
The Beeches Hotel do a nice Carvery and they are 10 to 15 minutes walk from the ground between it and the train station.
another option is
www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/ ... Crosshills
This one is 4.5 miles (Ten minutes) drive from the ground. They are the Keighley Pub of the year and do a Carvery of a similar type to Beeches.
Although the I think the food and choice is maybe a tiny fraction better at Beeches, My favourite is the Old White Bear as it is more of a quiet old fashioned Real Ale type pub.
If this doesn't appeal there is a Mcdonalds and a KFC over the road from the Ground.
The Hall of Fame Bar has a pint much cheaper than either of the above eating places and away fans are most Welcome.
The is some parking on the Road and adjacent comopany Magnet open up their car park. (£1 I think)

I hope this is not the case. With the Wigan game being called off, this will be last chance for the team to get a run out prior to the regular season kicking off. If anybody is in the know it would be good to see the team listed here a bit closer to the time.

You may get a couple, some of the juniors, and Soliola.
You won't geta decent run of first teamers.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go

Nice of you to remember. We Cougars can't change the past. We have previously had a great team, but even as a loyal Cougar fan I would conceed our ground at the time or even now is not Superleague.
We have to enjoy each match for what it is.
That said, Keighley have only been beaten at home in the League by Dewsbury (Who on the day were outstanding) and the Inland Revenue since last Easter. Whilst the core of the promotion winning team has been retained, 5 and a possible 2 further additions have been added.
It is also our last pre season friendly and I for one hope to see Saints turn out a strong team.
On a selfish point of view it would be great preparation for what will be a very testing season for Keighley
and a good run out for Saints before they also aim to go one better than last year and wipe the smile from
the Rhinos in your own season.

| I would imagine by 24 January there will be a good chance most of our first teamers will turn out, although we are also having a friendly against Barrow at Knowsley Road the following week (I think it is). Either way, when we played Widnes in the friendly just before the start of last season we had a full team out. I can't see Potter fielding a team full of youngsters so close to the start of the season somehow.
But whatever team he does put out, I'll be watching it definitely. I'm looking forward to going somewhere different!

Who cares about the ground? At the time, everyone has bad grounds. Keighley were averaging over 6,000 outside super league, had they come in they could of built the club up and been one of our more succesful clubs playing in a decent stadium infront of plenty of fans. Just look how many clubs were in super league from the start are now back to being small time, I doubt this would of happened with Keighley.

| I'm looking forward to this one - hope to see some big names, but not necessarily a big score! Are many Saints fans coming over to our 'old skool' stadium?
