Yup. They are brave, solid and professional. Missing that couple of dangerous individuals that can win games.

Compared to who? Leeds were hardly playing like something off a different planet. Thought our pack shut them down and we consistently made yards going forward. They had an edge in the backs - but what do you expect with Makinson struggling, Percy cross-eyed etc.

You can't claim we are inferior when the supposed talent is at best level pegging.

Sounds more like Huddersfield.

Saints have match winners like Makinson, Percival and Roby but they didn't quite get it over the ling tonight. The positive when compared to Huddersfield or even Leeds is there's plenty of development in this Saints side. Guys like Swift, Percival and Savelio will go from strength to strength and I'd expect Lomax to come back and add some threat from the back (after a positive start I think Quinlan has actually held you back a little).

You'll be in the hunt for trophies for a number of seasons in my opinion.

Leeds had a 39 year old and a 38 year old playing prop for 70 minutes. Leeds won, having already won the Challenge Cup and finishing above us. It's hard to say they don't deserve to be ahead of us in the hunt for trophies.

We're talking small margins here. We lost that this season and we'll lose it next season as our squad is weaker. Throw a Lyon, Long, Sculthorpe or Eastmond type in there and we win rather than lose.

With respect, no one gives two hoots about the Challenge Cup these days. It's got like the League cup in football, I reckon once SL teams have reserve sides back, you'll see those sides playing in the Challenge Cup, certainly for the big sides.
