Thompson is all heart. Runs like a train. He always does his defence but IMO he's lacking some size at the moment to make the hard drives. I feel how he grows will determine of he is a avg super league player or he goes on to better things.'"
I'd be surprised if he made less than 130m and he made a substantial amount of 'hard yards' as you've been asking him to do. If you've recorded the game it's well worth watching back.

I was more impressed with Thompson and Greenwood. Thompson hits hard and greenwood is very awkward to tackle and stop gaining meters by the looks of it.

Ran very strongly today and took a huge responsibility. A couple of times I noticed he took more than 1 carry per set.

Yeah I agree, Thompson was very good today. Strong carries in tight situations and hit very hard in defence, Greenwood has an eye for a gap and the strength and speed to exploit it. Looking forward to seeing how these two develop along with Savelio.

He made some good meters but i wouldn't call them barnstorming runs like he is capable of i don't think he made more than 12 runs if i am honest. Went of after the first 12 minutes and came back on in the 2nd half if i am correct. Used silverwood as a good blocker for the try tho.
Lets just say it wasn't a youtube highlight clip

I really don't understand what people want Mose to do? I think he'll need to kill somebody in a tackle before he gets any praise.'"
Just run his weight mate. That's all I want him to do. He's 20st + and stands at 6ft 5in and at times couldn't break out a paper bag.
When watching him, he reminds me of the big fat tall kid at school that used to rampage thru the other kids but then hits 16 years of age and starts getting tackled and doesn't like it.
IMHO he's been shocking. Wane wouldn't pick him at Wigan that's for sure. I'd rather play against him than have him in my team. I'm still giving him more time to settle but I'm not holding my breath.

Christ! I bet he was on his knees resting after that.
Don't think I've ever seen him take a 1st drive in or drive off a tap so far.

But that's fine. If we had Amor, laffranchi and walmsley by his side, he could afford to be a bit more of a "barnstorming" luxury - what he did do was lead the pack, always had his hand up to take it in, always made metres after impact, found the floor to start a roll a couple of occasions and helped the kids around him. He typified his performance by being involved in the first 4 tackles in the match. Wasn't flashy, but was a very good prop forward performance. Was his best performance by quite some way, and a very good performance in general. Especially when you consider being overrun by huddersfields large pack was one of my greatest concerns, he played a large part in putting us on top (that and Huddersfield were worse than we were last week!)
Took his try well too!

He did two stints in the first half totaling 20 minutes. He then played around 20 minutes in the second half too, for a man of his size and type of player that's long minutes.
When the likes of Laffranchi, Amor and Walmsley are back that will allow him to go back into his usual role of high intensity impact. You simply can not perform that same role with the amount of minutes he is currently playing, it isn't viable at all.

Mose has had those guys named above with him more or less all year and been crap.

He was about as fit as a chain smoking, obese grandad then though!
I have a feeling he'll have a strong finish to the season.

So it suited him to take the weight on his shoulders
I think he may of recognised some of the criticisms of last week in himself in letting the other guys do the bulk, and didn't have them around this week to do so. He was definitely one of the players unrecognisable from last week.
As has been said he was looking for the ball at every opportunity, I never noticed him behind the defensive line etc - don't wanna wax lyrical too much (stats tend to show the opposite of what I see!) as I may of been brainwashed by Eddie and Stevo (who were waxing lyrical about him) but i was very happy with his performance today. Long may it continue/ be a turning point for him personally

Yeah he has. But to be fair to the man he was excellent tonight. As mentioned he took the first four tackles and when he was on was always hunting the tackle and looking for work. He was second to Roby as man of the match tonight. I have no doubt when his stats come out that he'll top 100m with an 8 or 9 metres per carry and 15 tackles Couple of offloads as well and always attracted four men to put him down.
It's all about fitness for Mose. He's clearly far fitter than when he started the season and that allowed him to be more forceful with the work he did. Give him another couple of months without injury and I bet he'll be ripping in.
Whole team was better tonight, clearly realised it was probably Brown's job on the line tonight and they did respond. So noticable how much more up for it they all were this week, Mose and LMS's urgency from the kick off was telling. Still not a great performance however, virtually all their points were very, very sloppy and there were again too many of them scored. Roby was outstanding, Mose probably second and Flanagan or Dawson third, both had decent outings.

Thought Flanaghan was one of our worst tonight if I'm honest :s always seems to be tackled dead and kill any momentum - potentially had a fair shift defensively, but he was bumped off by Crabtree a couple of times.
