| reallly surprised at this? wire made a lot of errors in that game and if it wasn't for richards getting injured so he couldn't kick we would've lost. think we might have benny missing next week which is a huge loss. i will still back us to beat ya but think it will be another close game.

I'll concede Warrington's attacking play isn't as consistent as it might be, but defensively they were outstanding.

Gloom and doom Pete.
It aint over till the fat lady sings. Saints have it all to do and we can only get better.
Get the confidence factor right and everything will improve. It will take time and time we have plenty of.

| I don't believe in unwinnable games. Yes we have lost Graham and yes we have been poor, but just as last years form into the GF was no cause for thinking we could do the same this year. There is no reason to think our form so far will stay the same for the rest of the season. Lets not forget Huddersfield are top and beat wigan and we ran them close.

| More to the point, has Rogues not been on to point out 'Mickey Macs' horrendous distribution from dummy half?

As a Wire fan, this has to be the biggest compliment I've ever seen......We are struggling at the moment to get anywhere near our best, yet opposition fans think we are 'running hot'??
Couple this with the fact we are top and still scraping wins, and things bode well for the time we actually fire (that's if we ever do).
I'd agree that our defence is pretty up to its max, but attack-wise we are miles away from what we are capable of......I sometimes think Tony Smith is almost deliberately sending the side out with tactics which make lives diffiult for themselves - Some of our attacking moves still look like training moves that haven't quite been mastered in practice yet. The amount of dropped ball we concede is pretty scary at the moment.

Apart from ONE poor pass McIlorum was excellent last night. We certainly missed him when he went off, just as we did v Widnes.

Warrington were anything but hot. Wigan gifted 12 points so don't flatter yourselves.

He played well when scooting. His passing was atrocious at times, I'm surprised you didn't notice. One poor pass my backside.

Exactly.....Last night said more about Wigan's inability to kill off a misfiring rival, than highlighting Wire's future chances.
What would have been the score had Wire actually turned up??...

| Wire's terrible completion rate should give any team confidence that they'll have chances against them, but their goal line defence is awesome at times and they're very dangerous from anywhere on the field.

Correct, they remind me of the saints of old, they can be user pressure on their on line defending repeat sets and then go straight down the other end and score.
