| A break from Roby gets Saints well upfield, the attack fizzles out as a kick from Gaskell is taken by Latus. Hull KR then knock the ball on close to their line and gift Saints great territory.

| Another Hull KR goal line drop out after a kick from Jonny Lomax results in more good pressure. Wellens gives a bad pass on the Hull KR try line which sails past Jamie Foster into touch.

| Jamie Foster goes over as a good play from Saints forces Hull KR into good scrambling defence. Good offload, Jamie Foster claims the ball and scores his 5th try in 3 games. Kick attempt off the touch line is missed by Foster.

| Welham crosses for a controversial second in the last minute of the game. Conversion missed by Craig Hall. That takes the game to full time.

| Another good performance from the lads tonight. I thought the halves struggled a touch, but this is just part of the learning curve. Both are picking the game up quickly and whilst mistakes are still cropping up they are more the consequence of unfamiliarity (with each other and the demands of SL) than thoughtlessness.
The pack showed plenty of spirit. Perry is beginning to find his feet and I think - barring injury - he could be a significant asset.
Gardner looks like a player who's under pressure for his position. If only this had been the case for the last seven years.

| The whole pack played really well tonight. Soliola was hitting hard all night. The whole front row completely dominated the game and I agree with Mugwump about Perry, he's improving each week. Lomax showed some nice touches, but made some errors too. I thought Gaskell got caught out quite alot in defence, but he's played a handful of games. He'll no doubt drop out when Pryce returns, but the experience is invaluable for him.
Gardner was fantastic tonight, having his finest period since 2007. Eager for work and looks half a yard quicker than when Potter had him and bulked him up a bit too much in my view.

I agree on the Gazelle. Back to his best tonight. I thought all the usual scapegoats did well tonight, Scott Moore was fantastic during his spells on the field and Sia Soliola was magnificent. Three absolutely ridiculous hits tonight including one I could hear the impact from despite being a good 60m away from it.
Perry, Jammer, TP and Louie, Louie, Louie laid the platform excellently and Roby was his usual self. I don't think the score did justice to the performance as we dominated throughout.

| Lomaskell showed signs of the steep learning curve they face tonight. But it's all good. Their mistakes WILL make them better players.
The pack was superb, we showed glipmses outwide, but nothing dazzling. We are still failing to get good service to Shenton.

| Agreed. We conceded two late tries and the last one in particular was poor. Foster should've smashed into the stand. That aside though, we completely dominated after the opening 10 minutes and put in as good a performance as we've done all year. Some awesome hits throughout and we looked reallt eager to defend. I loved some of the backslapping going on and if we can play in that kind of spirit and keep improving we could have a strong season afterall.
Scott Moore has been playing well recently, but I prefer him away from the ruck. He's aggressive enough to play from the Loose forward position IMO and did really well there against Leeds. Robes deserves to play 80 mins, he's a freakishly good player.

| Anyone else concerned about shenton
Doesn't get any ball and to be honest can't say I've noticed him in past 3 games
Thoughts?

| Not concerned about Shenton personally. He is a fantastic defensive player and he does OK with the little ball he gets. I'm more concerned that the halves don't provide him with the service he deserves.
