Quote: St pete "Adam, IMO bryn, Moore and clough on the bench would bring no impact at all. If I'm being honest I have my doubts about how good them 3 are. All work hard and clough to be fair has done good job but still not great with ball.

I'd much prefer jammer, roby, perry, sia, new 2nd row and wilkin as our starting pack. Then maurie, tony p, Moore and clough on bench. With tony p and maurie we would be bringing two big powerfull guys on.'"

dont think bryn or moore should be in our first team ive big doubts on wilkin too

Bryn is nothing more than a squad player and is not good enough in a top sides starting 17 but is a good squad player.

Moore, I just can't make my mind up on. Gives away a lot of pens and makes silly mistakes but also shows some good signs.

Don't get me started on wilkin.…

If Wilkin and Moore are 'problems' we're in a good position. Wilkin especially would get into any 17 in Super League.

It bemuses me when people question Wilkin's contribution to the team. He doesn't break tackles but he does everything else to a high standard and with plenty of commitment.

Wilkin is in the same mould as O'Loughlin. They don't make 60 or 70 metre runs, but they put in 40+ tackles per game, read the game very well and I dare say are usually one of the coaches first names on the teem sheet.

The same applies to the likes of Flannery at Saints and Bailey at Wigan.

I'm sure some spectators don't really understand the game of rugby League.

Against Wigan, Wilkin made 50 tackles. His name would be one of the first on the team sheet with that kind of stat.

The problem with having wilkin, flannery, clough, dixon and ashurst is none are good with the ball. They all tackle well and work hard but same type of player.

IMO wilkin can be top notch loose forward. That's why I'd like to see sia in 2nd row with a new 2nd row with wilkin at 13 and flannery on the plane home.

Nothing wrong with any of them as squad players. We have several areas where are far weaker to be worrying about the back row. Fullback, wings, centres and props are all very weak areas for us.

No there's not, but I think the main reason for people's apathy toward Flanders is the apparent abundance of capable players in our back row. If, instead, we had a front row (or in fact centre or wing) version of Flannery/Wilkin, we'd all be happy.

2011

1. wellens (past his best but still a fantastic player)
2. gardner (never rated him but he does the job with a few mistakes)
3. gidley (world class) shenton (would be a great signing but i dont see it happening)
4. wheeler (good young promosing player, offers loads in attack and both in defence and never let us down)
5. meli (carnt stand him, yes hes good WITH BALL IN HAND, but getting the ball in his hands is tough work)
6. pryce (been great this year)
7. eastmond (world class)
8. graham (world class)
9. roby (world class)
10. perry (if he does sign this would be great as he is a very good player) puletua (if we dont get perry)
11. soliola (we need strengh and size in the SR)
12. wilkin (great defensive player and does more than his fair share in attack)
13. flannary (good defensive, nothing in attack but overall a good player) clough (if flannary leaves)

14. moore (already and enlgand HK and shows good signs)
15. fa'asavalu (big strong player for impact when puletua comes off)
16. hargreaves (nothing special but hes a work horse and never lets you down)
17. clough (if not starting) ashurst (i think he is ready for the challenge)

Wellens is a fantastic servant, he's not a great player anymore.

Ade is a decent winger given the overall standard in Super League, having zero trouble against the two Super Wingers Wigan were meant to have. Meli is also a good player until the second Saturday in October, but seeing as though we probably won't be there he might be worth keeping.

Gidley is retiring isn't he? Shenton is probably going to sign for Wigan. We need a new fullback (Or to trust Lomax if they think he's up to it, two new centres and a big prop.

Your right Ade's a far better player than both Pat and Amos, as demonstrated by Ade's superior stats this season. icon_rolleyes.gif
