And the rest.
Credit to Saints but can they do that in a big game when Wigan have a full team out? Time will tell.
Thought Wellens looked good at the back to be fair.

Wiganers are so desperate to claim they had players out they're comparing to there "first choice" and deliberately not marrying up players to make it look like there were more. (On the Wigan board)
Lomax, laffranchi, Amor and Walsh 20 minutes in for saints, MM, Green, Pettybourne and Clubb for Wigan - anything further is trying to exaggerate the situation (like claiming Beaumont for Saints injury list for example) - and that's giving Wigan the benefit of the doubt that Clubb or Pettybourne is as good as Amor (probably balanced out by us getting Walsh for 20 minutes)
Anyway, Wigan fans were telling us all how wonderful their depth is this year, so it shouldn't matter right?

Think you could say you owned him there.

He did the same against Widnes away him and Sav were wrecking balls. He just needs to kick off that performance every week from now on.

| Mose was awesome last night. Physically bullied Wigan when he was on, looked like a man possessed!

I'd add Farrell and Thornley to those, then there will be Tomkins to come in.
And if Lomax comes back in would you drop Wellens or Hohaia?

Yes, that was his best game so far. He missed the first two months of the season through injury, and due to his size he has taken a while to get match fit.
However, considering he single handedly took on the entire Wigan pack and devoured each and every one of them, to the point where it looked like a few of them genuinely panicked when they saw him. I would so "I'm glad he plays for Saints and not us" is either bitterness or an outright lie.
He was terrific - just as he was in the Huddersfield match just after Magic. It was like watching Fa'asavalu at his best. He just needs to keep up that intensity now.

I think the depth is very good and you could be right, it may not matter come the play-offs when we hopefully get a few players back. I really don't think Wigan did too badly last night and neither did Saints!
And on balance its not just some Wigan fans that are highlighting that Wigan missed some key players.

Farrell was stupid enough to get himself banned for the match, so draws absolutely no sympathy for me, he was still a member of the squad, he wasn't weakening it by being injured, just by being stupid. Claiming thornley is no different to us claiming Jones if the result had gone the other way, yes as the wiganers have told us a thousand times, he was in good form when he got injured - but I don't think even wane knew his best centre combo at that point (or still does) - there's no guarantees he'd of walked into the team had he been fine all this time - like the 8 players mentioned above probably would. Claiming j tomkins is just plain silly.
I'm not denying Wigan had injuries, so did saints, they just ain't the reason you lost as some of your fans are trying to clamour.
Edit, oh and my feelings on the matter are fairly well known, 1. Wellens 6. Lomax 7. Walsh 9. Roby 14. Hohaia - depending how the game goes, Roby can be spelled, lomax dropped back to 1 and wellens to the pack, lomax rested, or Walsh covered

If lomax all three of lance, lomax and wello would have played.
I personally couldn't care less who you had playing or didn't, we took the two points and put us 4 clear of the 2013 conquering Wigan team. Injuries are part and parcel of rugby. I'm sure you'll play us when we are plagued by injury.
It's about beating what's in front of you, we can't control who plays or doesn't for the other team.

| Loved watching Mose last night. I always thought he was better than what he was showing and thought he'd shown glimpses of what he could do, but last night he put it all together and riled up the crowd. Great performance, from everyone!

Absolutely Pete, couldn't agree more. I think it's the people trying to say Wigan didn't have players missing that's getting a bit ridiculous though. I can't actually believe someone dismissed Farrell because he was banned rather than injured so doesn't count as missing from the team! Someone saying Clubb or Pettybourne are also borderline because they're maybe not as good as Amor is almost as bad too. WTF has that got to do with anything?
Whichever way you look at it Wigan had at least 6 missing from the first choice 17 and several more first call reserves. As you say though, tough titties..that's Rugby League (alright I may have paraphrased a little there! haha). Saints took the opportunity to show some steel and I think that's what the fans were looking for. I'll add my congratulations on a good performance and fine win too. As I've said elsewhere; it'll be interesting to see what happens the next time the teams meet. Should be a cracker!

| Those who have called, now or in the past, for Mose to be dropped in order to be given a kick up the , have you considered the following.
Being an import, Mose cannot play for a dual reg team. He also cannot play for the Under 19s.
Bearing in mind the trouble we've been having getting him [imatch fit[/i, will the coaches be reserved about every dropping him, because of the impact it could have an his match fitness?

Yes he can, the rules have been changed. Gelling played for Workington earlier in the season.
