I think that's the trouble of going from the only real threat to one of many!
I think he took a bit of a knock to the head against hull and Salford so he's not at 100% - he's still been very good at straightening up and releasing makinson (whose on fire) - the Walsh try vs Salford for example, so I'm sure he'll pick up as we move further into the season!
EDIT: he's still playing better than this time last year!!

He,s been making more breaks from his own half this season so far, I also think he,s working with Makinson much better and giving his winger more opportunities.
We,ve alo got Walshy with his offensive in the corner kicks for the wingers missing out the centres at times.

| I think Turner is the same as last year. He's a decent centre.

| What was the crowd tonight ? Didn't see or hear it announced at the game but was queuing to get in which isn't usually the case.

| A concern for me is how we can create so many opportunities but only score 12 points from it and that failure to do that could have cost us against a better team

| Sounds like laffranchi shouldn't have been dropped?
Fair enough if he has been rested but there's certain players that can't miss out for Wello.
He is one if them if it means sia used as a prop.
Flanagan injured?
He won't be doing anything wrong and you can always expect 100% effort from Wello but I just hope common sense is used when there is a clearly better player tactically that can be used.
I think Wello needs to come in earlier.
He isn't given a chance to do much in a game.
At least then we can see if he should be used or not

It was quoted on the Superleague web site as well, maybe its correct and we were all suffering from double vision.

| Given on the saints site as 11,818 - they had to double check everything because they got the score wrong originally!

| St Helens coach Nathan Brown and Tommy [Makinson] played terrific football. They were super at the end of last season and are carrying on from where they left off.
"With Jonny Lomax impressing at the back, they have been three of our most consistent players.
"But we were desperate for half-time because we kept dropping the ball. Rovers had all the field position and they have a lot of good forwards and confident half-backs.
"We gifted them too much in the first half but we were brilliant in the first 20 minutes of the second half.
"We came up with some nice kicks and we were hard to handle."
Quite a fair assessment.

| I think we missed percival a bit too. Theres quite a few occasions were he would have probably scored instead of dropping the ball! Its good to have the luxury of not having to play players with just a knocks!

I think Percival would have scored 2 tries that Wheeler failed to do. Would sooner see Wheeler creating options in second phase with Walshy.
Just looked at the stats Josh Jones only made 1 metre going forward yesterday. Wellens did OK on his cameo appearance 10 tackles, no missed tackles, 2 tackle busts and robbed of a try.
Front row impressive metres again, for the 4th time bossed the opposition over the 80 mins.
