They are right, we've said all along that he's not got the mental capacity to be a head coach in Super League. Snapping the pole and over enthusing only gets you so far.
Tomkins is off too, sooner rather than later. I'd be amazed if he does any more than one season more for Wigan.

I've said for a while Wigoon are quite 1 dimensional without Ratkins in the team - I think he's missed 3 games and they've lost all 3 .. funny that.

Without Tomkins they're hardly any better in the backs than we are - they're just a largely ordinary set of players with one superstar that were driven to unimaginable heights for a couple of season by a great coach.

The RL not wanting another Saints/Leeds final and directing refs accordingly? Surely not! It's hard not to believe in conspiracy theories in this sport sometimes... I'd be tempted to put my house on every possible decision under the sun going Wire's way tomorrow given the mad, panicky levels of desperation to stop us getting there too that will be reverberating through Red Hall right now.

| can't wait for tomorrow and very nervous. northants saint- i can't believe your negativity towards the chances of
saints going through. from a wire point of view, we're equally bricking it.
You have a full set of top quality forwards who i fear massively, even with the full starting wire 17 and
thats not including perry who is due a good game as he is one of the
best forwards in the world on his day; we aren't counting chickens.
it'll be a cracker tomorrow and may the best side win.
You should have a bit more faith in your side Northampton Saint.

We are an utterly, utterly one-dimensional team playing a side that can, when they get it right, match us in the forwards, utterly annihilate us in the backs with talent, plays and moves we couldn't ever hope to emulate or counter in our wildest dreams, and that has a kicking game. The game will be played at a venue that suits you and where you will be under less expectation and pressure which is generally your undoing in playoff games. We will also inevitably be playing against the referee after seeing the shocking treatment Leeds got tonight confirming the RL's determination to avoid another Leeds/Saints final at all costs. We can't beat you tomorrow - you can only beat yourselves and that is our only chance of victory.

(don't know how to quote via email)
As leeds showed tonight, if you contest the forwards and bring your back line out to suffocate the ball in the backs
then both of us are on the same level and i agree that the kicking game is so important. You have a hefty set of
forwards who could trudge over any set of potential back moves by congesting the middle of field and leaving
no space for myler and briers to operate. Funnily enough, i wonder whether it would be too much of a gamble
to do a dink kick through the defence on say the 2nd or 3rd when the defences are moving up and the full-
back is unaware. I think it's going to be really close to call. The points you have made make a lot of sense,
I do believe that your forwards however can block the potential of expansive rugby in our back play.

Holy shmoly Dont see Leeds fans wanting them lose.I imagine youd be almost disconsulate if we actually won the bloody final because you couldnt say "told ya so" you sour bugger comes to somethin when a wires fan tells you to get behind the team he wants to see beaten.get a grip

Leeds fans don't expect them to lose though. Saints are a team with no team spirit and no heart. As soon as it gets hard, they turn into pansies and start to lose petals in the wind.
Last year we had Jammer, who had enough heart for half of them. This year we're led by nothing, there isn't a single strong character amongst them.

Saddened its commendable considering the b0ll0x weve been through at managerial level to be were we are and on MERIT you and Northampton Saint are overdosing on pessimism.Forget Jammer hes gone, enjoy him on Sunday at 8:00 am hes fantastic yes but hes gone.We have to move on.Theres plenty heart in this team thats why we are in a strong position to get to OT!!!! The team we had in mid 2,000's was probably one of the greatest rl sides in history, as a consequence anything that comes fater will always be a poor relation. You and NS are so damm hard on your own team cut some frackin slack your lost in over scrupulosity. If you dont like em dont watch em simple

| Saddened- we all know that it's all bollox. Will be such a cracker tomorrow. I have to say as well
that I was willing Leeds to win tonight as we all hate Wigan.
It's like paper, stone and scissors with Wire, Saints and Wigan.
We normally beat Wigan, Wigan (apart from the recent playoff) normally beat
you in (roughly the last 2 years), and you normally beat us. Aside from the Leeds factor, the theory
seems to work.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not like Saddened who I reckon [iwould[/i be upset if all his cherished beliefs were brought down by a Saints win at O/T next week. I'd dearly, dearly love to win the next 2 games and be proved spectacularly wrong - the problem is that I am just so rarely am however. I see little chance of us pulling 2 backs-to-the-wall against-the-odds wins out of the bag in successive weeks against superior opposition that's all, and I'm firmly of the opinion that another (likely) defeat at O/T will do nothing but jeopardise our chances of silverware next season. As a Saints fan the best possible thing that could happen for us is to win at O/T next week and dispose of the monkey at long last. The second best thing that could happen is to lose tomorrow, draw a line under the 5 in-a-row and start again with a fresh new winning mindset under a fresh new coach next season. I just think there's genuinely little chance of the first happening unless a bomb lands on Leeds' training ground next week that's all, and maximising our chances for next season is my priority instead. To do that we need a loss tomorrow.

Hang on a minute - read any of my posts and you'll struggle to find anyone on this board who expresses remotely as much faith in our players, board and future on a consistent basis as I do - don't tar me with the Saddened brush I'm just being realistic as to our chances over the next 2 games and what would be best for us going into next season, that's all.
