He's nothing special, played in Toyota Cup all last season. He couldn't get a look in for the Raiders.

wrong on both counts. We havent started spending salary cap allocated to orford yet and have another 2 signings still to announce.

| Hopefully the signing of Herbert means that Leon is staying put, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I do apologise.
I can't think who the other two will be though.
Pryce seems unlikely this year. He wants to join Bradford (apparently), so next year there will be only one club he'll go to and Saints won't get 90- 200 grand.

Not all of us. We'd all like it to happen, so I guess there's a fair bit of talking it up and wishful thinking, but I'd say the vast majority of us don't think its nailed on, far from it.
I still reckon its a very very long shot, I'm sure the question has been asked, but my money is on it not going anywhere. (Hope I'm wrong mind )
The Herbert signing doesn't influence it either way though IMO.

| Why would Leon go? , i know its his hometown but no offence to Bradford but at tho mo we are by far the greater side and with the looks have a great future, so why? is there more money for him there?

how have you come to that figure? leon was born in oct 81 making him 30 at end of 2011 season. Assuming we gave him a four year deal now he'd be just turning 33 at end of deal in 2014 which isnt ridiculous for a player these days.

Take into account a serious neck injury which required surgery then i would say a 4 year deal is a risk.

never said it wasn't. was just commenting on the 34 bit.
And any SL contract has release clauses in the event that player is injured to such an extent that they cant continue playing, so if injury did prove to be a long term problem then there would we wouldnt be tied to the 4 years necessarily.

That's true, however if Leon signed for the Bulls this year (as per the rumours), he would probably cost £100k+. For him to then get injured would be a massive squad and financial blow despite any release clauses.
