| Shame to be bickering over what's a great bit of news for RL. Hopefully Saints can follow suit.

3076_1671446335.jpg SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

| Quote: SaintsFan "They were all thinking of moving to Union then? Jeez, Wigan must be a dire club to work for!'"
But had Saints offered (or been able to offer) Eastmond a long term deal then this 12 page thread would never need to happen, as it won't with the likes of Sam Tomkins.
What Wigan have done is great for Rugby League, they've signed up kids who have come through their own systems without having to raid the likes of Quinns and Castleford
Now the last past of the last sentence is trolling, just so that you, DB and FTV understand the difference.
Sorry Dux but you must understand the frustration.

| I wish Saints would sort this mess out before the season starts. Ultimatum time, you are flogged now.
Letting his deal run down so it reduces in value is ridiculous. If he's not staying, sell him now.

Exactly and that's why the Wigan signings are relevant (as was the Roby signing)
Mind you Roby must have got a very good deal judging by the house he has bought in Billinge.

I see. You have been present at their talks then? Gosh. You're even more of a Saints insider than you long to be!

What I've advocated for many years is that we (all Superleague teams) should send their best young academy player to Australia on a years scholarship.
Listening to Radio Merseysides try time (Merseyside Sport) on Thursday it appears that Widnes have done it this year.
It was a very good programme, with Simmons, Smith and Maguire discussing the new play the ball interpretation.
Listen again rlhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/radio/bbc_radio_merseyside/20110203rl the discussion starts about 1 hour in.

Well, from an international POV it's no wonder is it? Can you imagine the Millennium Stadium selling out for one of League's international matches? Most RL fans just whinge about what a waste of time international RL is. The atmosphere was very good at the England match yesterday. Except for the tries the game was a borefest but there was certainly a great atmosphere among the crowd. Wish RL internationals could attract that kind of turnout and atmosphere.

18821_1298880800.jpg
I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.
Another classic:
You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
Therefore ZERO.
| can see the obvious attraction of union to a young player. Ashton was always going to be a player of limited abilities in League, but in union he is looked upon as some sort of superstar, based around a "wonder" try and an unprofessional try scoring celebration. His earning power now must be many times any british rugby league players, his face is on the front and back pages of all the papers, all he needs now is a celebrity girlfriend and he is made. And let's face it, he hasn't got there either on his looks or his ability. If he had stayed at Wigan, he would be playing in front of a few thousand yokels week in week out, and struggling to get his name in the MEN. Can't fault his ability to make a name for himself. Kyle Eastmond, you could be next.

I completely agree it was a borefest and the commentary by Moore is nothing but a total joke, but it hurts a little with all the money that has come into League from Sky that we are still struggling and that star players are in such awe of union and as some have also seen on Twitter they see it as a BMW? I worry for our game, the number of clubs struggling, what is going to happen, would we be better semi-professional once more and see the game completely outclassed by a boring game of union, that is not what I want!
