Lomax is unlucky not to have an assist to his name. On 19 mins when we are attacking their line he hits McGillvary with a good cut out pass and with the Kiwi defence stretched and McGillvary 8m out and with about 5/6m away from the sideline he didn't aim for the corner post like he should've done and instead straightened up and ran towards the defender and got caught.

McGillvary finishes that and people are complimenting Lomax for setting it up.

Are you not able to take a comment as it is made? it is my opinion and that is all, Lomax is not international standard currently, I have said I rate him so highly both as a player and person, he did so well to come back this last season as he did, such respect!

Okay to please some?? Widdop made a bad tackle, I have never been blinded to truth on any player, even players from any club I support, some here seem to take offence at any comments about Saints players, it is just an opinion as I said.

Had he made the right decision to miss Whitehead out and hit Lomax who was linking in perfectly behind him we had a great opportunity to potentially score down that left side.

lomax wasn't the reason we lost, people go on about extra links etc but imo shaul would offer that x factor that we don't have atm, he backs up and has pace to burn, just one chance and he could change a match which atm we don't seem to have,

But the pass cost us 6 points at a very crucial part of the game

It really all depends how you want the fullback to play. If you want him to be the "extra half-back" then it's either Lomax or Ratchford. If you want someone to take you forward then it's Sarginson, if you want a try poacher/back up player then it's Shaul..
It's a pity that O'Loughlin is unfit as he could be the extra ball playing forward that we sadly lacked on Saturday.
